Had the news on earlier - the weather sounds as if it's been atrocious. Do hope everyone gets home all right, and that those going this evening don't have too much of a problem. Believe it or not, but in this small area of the very north-east of England we've had sun with just a bit of a blustery wind, although a short hail storm came across from the Cheviots this afternoon. High winds, as well as causing a great deal of damage, are terrifying - I know I lived in Kent October 1987.
