I am going to see The Vortex! Flying from Southampton to Manchester and back in a day. It is the matinee on 24 January. Can't wait!

http://www.smileypad.com/v202/Cache/Feelings/Ponder.gif What a good idea - hadn't thought of that before. Think I may check it out, although like you Dot it would have to be for a matinee. I just couldn't drive the distance at the moment, although when the theatre tour was on I drove Sharon half way round England and Scotland, and thought nothing of driving to the other end of the country to Exeter via Manchester!! Think I must be getting old!!! :o What am I talking about I am old!

I am paying about £40 for the flight from Soton with FlyBe. 10.45 in the morning going and 20.20 back.

You are not old. I am three score years and ten! :D

Really - you don't look a day over ............... Joking. If what you say is true then I am younger, but feel 100 on a bad day!

Is that £40 return Dot? If it is it's almost cheaper than driving what with the cost of petrol. Don't think FlyBe go from Newcastle, but I'll make enquiries.

I'm off up to the Castle this evening - Jools Holland with Sam Brown and Ruby Turner plus fireworks!! Never forget the duet. It was brilliant. :yahoo:

Have fun seeing Jool et al. I was just listening to BITW in the car - can't help but smile when you hear it can you. Fabulous performance. Shame so many missed it, I was just on my way up to bed when I heard Chris Evans say Will was coming on later - never sat back down so fast in all my life  Poor hubby was sleeping downstairs as he was getting up at 4.00 for a fishing trip, think he managed about two hours sleep by time Will had been on and I'd watched it back a couple of times - just as well he's the understanding sort :D

Had a brilliant evening, with fireworks to boot. Ruby Turner was fantastic, and Jools had his brother Chris as support, and someone else - can't remember his name - Bobby something. Apparently there were about 8000 people there, and not one of them was Will. :( Well not as far as I was aware. It was a great way to start off the town's International Music Week.

While it's very stressful not being able to get on Devoted for a while, it's nice to see a lot of new visiters on here and I hope you'll still pop in and see us when Devoted comes back. I think we need to start a topic up where we can all join in, has anybody got any ideas for us? :D

I am so chuffed! I have bought a new DVD burner for the PC and have downloaded a trial version of an authoring program to see if it would burn DVD-RAM discs as I use these in my DVD recorder. AND IT WORKS!

I have just copied my PI discs onto one with titles. I also edited out some rubbish on there.

I think I will have to buy it now.

I really admire you, I'm such a technophobe and if it wasn't for my son helping me out, I'd be even worse.

I am the technophile in my house while my husband is the technophobe. He gets impatient with it all.

I'm not technically minded at all. I'm still trying to work out how I copy a video onto a DVD!!! :(

By the way just seen Devoted's back.
