pretty good little group of girls typifying the fashions of the early/mid 80's. with the 60's being very much en vogue their first 3 hits were covers.. iko iko, clapping song, mockingbird, (i actually like shirley ellises original 'clapping song'..)

 

they only had 1 top ten 'sign of the times' which i thought was a good track. happy & uplifting, i liked it.

nah, didn't like them at all, much preferred bananarama :D

I liked Sign of the Times, too, but Belle Stars were always the lesbian Bananarama, I thought... ;)

Yes they had a few good songs, two that stick out for me are 'Sign Of The Times' which is awesome, and i rather liked their version of Shirley Ellis' 'The Clapping Song', brings back a few memories as i remember kids at my school singing that.
