Posted March 8, 200718 yr interesting documentary tonight on ch4 at 9pm, where the scientists actually are catching up with MY thoughts on GW. lol, seriously though, ive never fully swallowed the whole 'man is causing GW' line, because of the history of our climate. in roman times the climate was warm enough to grow grapes as far north as newcastle on tyne, in edward 1st times (13th cent) the climate was 1c warmer then now, in the 17th-19th centuaries there was huge cold spells where the thames froze!!! (the little ice age) in winter... the 1730's was the warmest decade on record (might be passed now, not sure) but that was BEFORE the industrial revolution that started pumping out co2. ice cores show us that rising co2 in the atmosphere follows temperature rises and not causes it. as i see it, our climate has always fluctuated, its done it dispite man and not because of man. itll be interesting to see what this programme says, but ill be taping it to view later.

March 9, 200718 yr Author the programme was fascinating, it TOTALLY debunked the myth that we are responsable for global warming. - the climate has always varied, long before man polluted anything! - ice core records show that co2 increase in the atmosphere FOLLOWED warming and didnt cause it! - there is no correlation between mans carbon emissions increase and temperature increase. -there IS a direct correlation between solar activity and global temps, its the sun that causes gw - man only emits less then 0.5% of carbon into the atmosphere, volcano's, decaying vegetation and the oceans are responsable for the rest, so we are insignificant. -the global warming myth (there IS gw, its just not man causing it) about co2 is a political agenda started by... THATCHER! as she wanted to promote nuclear energy as oposed to coal powered energy back in the days of the miners strike.. its a total myth that mankind is the cause of gw.... but politics are now involved, and they have an agenda... green taxes anyone?...
March 9, 200718 yr It was very good yeah, there's also the fact that the Earth's climate is always evolving and the temperature's increase is so because we're still coming out of the Ice Age 10,000 years ago And about polar bears etc. with people saying they'll be extinct, apparently it was much hotter than thi 8,000 years ago and they survived that Makes you think the whole global warming issues really are just propaganda, they said in the 1970's they were heading sharply for an Ice Age then....only 30 years ago!!!!!
March 9, 200718 yr Author ... but i remeber that! we were TOLD that we were heading for another ice age, thats one reason i first doubted gw ten years ago.. then i read my history and found out that there has always been periods of variation... nice to see the things i read were supported in that documentary.

It´s not only about how much CO2 we emit, but also how much green areas we have devasted, which means less CO2 being naturally absorved. lol.. theres no bloody conspiracy theory here, the programme dealt with varifiable facts! facts that are being ignored by politicians with an agenda to further tax and subjegate the population. 0.5% is NOT alot as you say, logically if the temperature wrose 100c ... yes thats boiling point!!! we would only be responsable for 0.5c !!! hardly any bloody difference! lol. yes we have cut down vast areas of forests, but we have NOT replaced forests with industry, it was cleared for farmland. not the same thing at all. our 'devastation' of the environment though is actually a different matter and doesnt appear in the global warming list of ingrediants.
