I thought it was good. Only a complete re**** is going to come out of the cinema thinking that 300 is a true depiction of historical events. I thought it was really stunning visually and kept a really good pace all through the film. There was definately some cheesy and naff points but it's part and parcel of films like this. It was a top class action film IMO and better than Sin City which I thought was way more over hyped.

Trust me, it makes those films you mentioned look like "History Channel" documentaries.....

I thought it was alright as well. Obv i just viewed it as some dumbass action flick rather than stated fact. I too thought the fight scenes were visually stunning esp for the 'cheap' amount it cost to stage them on the greenscreen. The script wasnt up to much when it wasnt in battle mode, but it did have some nice creative images of bloodshead.

 

i wouldnt go as far as saying it was better than sin city. but i didnt think Sin City was as good as a film in the cinema than when i could watch it on r1 dvd and watch the episodes and narrative threads in the order that i wanted to/ an order that i thought was better.

I think this movie really depends of everyone's taste.

I so can't wait to see it. I hadn't the opportunity yet.
