When they said most of it would be live performance, I thought it actually meant from an actual gig, and I was really dissapointed, and wasn't expecting much.

 

Then they compared it to Going Under and I thought it would be that kinda performance, and that's one of my favourite videos.

 

From the CNN report showing her in that brown dress singing to he camera, I didnt have high hopes. But it looks as though that was just her performing and that will be shown on a huge screen behind her.

 

The concept looks really unique, despite it sounding quite dull from her description. I Cannot wait now. The lithium video looked amazing ,but it lacked a storyline.

 

This video looks pretty firely, venemous and intense. It'll probably put a different perspective on the song for me. Cant wait =]

I hope this does well such a shame 'lithium' flopped in both UK and US,is this getting a release in Uk and is the song recieving any airplay in America ?

The song is apparently doing pretty well in the US at the moment on rock stations, etc.

 

The video has been released on iTunes so hopefully that'll give it some promotion. The promotion here SUCKS, it hasnt even been on Kerrang Radio yet. I've emailed them twice.

 

Single will be released here, but no tracklisting or date has been confirmed.

To be honest, it just looks like a thousand other videos out there - flashy edits, colours, etc.... Kinda looks like the cameraman is suffering from St Vitus Dance to be honest.... Don't like it really... The "Lithium" video by contrast was beautiful, quite stunning imagery, brilliant camerawork, and Amy with her piano at the start is a direct reference to the vid for Heart's 80s classic big ballad "Alone" (in fact "Lithium" is at its heart very much an 80s style Big Rock Ballad, it's just been given a contemporary make-over, if Heart or Stevie Nicks had Trent Reznor, Kurt Cobain or Billy Corgan writing lyrics for them, "Lithium" would probably be the result...).

 

The more I listen to Sweet Sacrifice, the more I reckon it sounds like a Smashing Pumpkins song - it's the riffs, they sound like Corgan/Iha riffs....

Oh don't get me wrong it's not as good as Everybody's Fool (my personal favourite) by any stretch. It's just really dark and simple, it's quite creepy, something that would frighten small children, I don't know why I like it, I just do. :(
