When Britney Spears tattooed word PUSH on her hand, people have been scratching their heads trying to figure out what it stands for. According to hollywood.tv, PUSH is really the Christian message - "Pray Until Something Happens".

"It is often printed on bands and necklaces available in Christian shops," said a source. "These are frequently given as gifts to remind people that god is on their side through everything."

"She just wanted something real small on her wrist, something dainty," Max Gott, the tattoo artist at Body and Soul in Sherman Oaks, said.

Is Britney Spears returning to Christianity at this difficult time in her life? It's a possibility, since she was raised in the Southern Baptist Church.

In the past few years Britney Spears tried Kabbalah - a form of Jewish mysticism, three years ago and since she has been seen wearing a red string around her wrist to ward off the "evil eye". When her first son was born, she briefly explored Hinduism, until finally she said that her baby is her religion.

No, I'm not into religions at all. The only religion I know about is catholism, but I don't know anything about other religions.

Basically, Catholism is a branch of Christianity.

She was Baptist...which is alot different the Catholicism, or so I've been told.

:o She's Baptist.

Baptism is when you don't get baptized? I don't think it's related at all to Christianism (or Catholicism)

We need a priest or someone who can explain here

I think that belief in herself will do her a hell of a lot more good than becoming some 'born again'....

I always hate it when Celebs start 'turning to God' to sort out their problems.... And then they go on ruddy Chat Shows and talk about it.... *GROAN*.... -_- :banghead:

No it is a branch of Christianity. It is under protestant beliefs.

Think of it this way Catholicism is in it's own category, while Protestant is in another (Baptist, Lutheran, Methodist, etc...)

You've got sub-categories in Catholicism as well - Jesuit, Opus Dei, etc....
