The actor and singer has signed a £1 million deal to publish his autobiography, which will include full details of his time with former Neighbours co-star Kylie. Minogue and Donovan had been expected to marry in the 80s, but fans of the pair were shocked when Kylie dumped him and started a new relationship with rock singer Michael Hutchence. A source told the Sunday Mirror: "This is a sensational celebrity book - with all the magic ingredients. There's every detail about Kylie, his drugs hell, his lean years and his comeback. "The chapters about Kylie are absolutely gripping and have every sexy detail about Kylie. He reveals how close they came to marriage - and details the full story of how they got together and how it all came to a sad end. Jason was devastated. He couldn't even bear to see a picture of her with Hutchence for years afterwards. But he has always tried to avoid talking openly about the end of their affair." Britain’s Sunday Mirror recently reported Donovan had agreed to a $2.5 million book deal with publisher HarperCollins. It quoted an unnamed publishing executive saying: “The chapters about Kylie are absolutely gripping and have every sexy detail about Kylie.†Donovan has agreed to a book deal, but refused to reveal the financial terms. “Being paid a million pounds for my biography is a gross misrepresentation of the truth,†Donovan told BBC Television. “It talked about a tell-all tale with Kylie Minogue ... well, the book hasn't even been written.†Donovan revealed he had minimal contact with former Neighbours co-star and girlfriend Minogue during her recent battle with breast cancer, but he had sent her his best wishes. “I know as much about that as probably the press know,†he said of Minogue's illness. “I did send her a note and wished her all the best and I got a reply to that. “She's got a wonderful family, she's got a great support team around her - I know that from the past.†Donovan credited the birth of his children Jemma, 6, and Zac, 5, with helping him turn his life around after his career faltered and he spiralled into drug abuse. She dismissed the idea as she and little sis DANNII hung out at the Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne yesterday as guests of driver MARK WEBBER. Kylie told pals: “Jason is a great guy. I got a lovely message from him when I was really sick. I was so touched and I wrote back. “It’ll be a great book. He’s had his highs and lows. His life’s good now so he’s in a good mindset to look back. “I’'ll buy a copy for sure!â€
