"The team behind online guerilla remix projects 'Always Outsiders Never Outdone' and 'Flip the Switch' have been busy again - this time with the new album from New York's LCD Soundsystem.

 

As with their previous re-imagining of the latest albums by The Prodigy and Chemical Brothers, 'Sounds Like Silver' sees each track on LCD Soundystem's 'Sound of Silver' remixed or covered by a leading light of the bedroom-production scene.

 

Included in the line-up this time around are established favourites like Bournemouth's Geek Chic, Go Home Productions (responsible for most of EMI's latest 'Mashed' compilation), Team 9 (behind 2005's controversial 'American Edit' Green Day tribute) and Scotland's very own McSleazy and Dunproofin'.

Great idea this - since the album was leaked so long ago, these bedroom producers have completely remixed it and have put their collection on the web the same day the album is officially released.
