Posted March 14, 200718 yr Calvin Harris: "Britney Should Retire" He's produced a tune on Kylie's new album but one woman whose comeback Calvin Harris won't be helping out on is Britney Spears'. The funky Scots musician, who's recently had a chart hit with electro stomper 'Acceptable In The 80s', reckons the troubled popstar's career is down the dumper for good. "I think it's about time she retired gracefully," he told MTV.co.uk. "Surely she can't come back from this? That picture of her (hitting the car with the umbrella) was shocking! I was actually doing a radio interview while flicking through the paper when I saw it and I ended up laughing and having to tell the DJ what was the matter" He added, "I reckon working with her would be more trouble than it's worth." However, he did concede super-producer Timbaland, who last week said he'd love to save Brit's career with a little help from JT, could probably get away with it. "Timbaland is amazing, he can do whatever he wants. He turned Nelly Furtado from hippy singer to a global star so you never know." -GoBritney.com
March 14, 200718 yr Author Like she really needs his help to have a succesful comeback?!? Whatever
March 14, 200718 yr Well, "Acceptable In The 80s" is indeed an amazing song, he's great at producing/making great dance tunes and the fact that he's been a dickhead with Britney won't change that... Still, he's been a dickhead with Britney and so I hate him as a person now (which definitely won't change my liking for his music).
March 15, 200718 yr Well, actually, look at it with a bit of objectivity..... Does she really need the hassle...? Does she really need the money...? Does she really need to be harrassed day and night by paparazzi scum...? Is this whole 'Pop Star' bullsh!t actually making her happy....? No on all counts, let's face it... Perhaps if Kurt Cobain had just quit, it may have been enough to stop him from killing himself and his daughter would still have a father.... No, I reckon her priorities should be her children, bottom line... And her lifestyle as a Pop Star is clearly not compatible with raising her children properly, and we've seen plenty of evidence of it... So, IMO she should quit and be a full-time parent, god knows, she can afford to do it... If you're the fans of her you claim to be, you'll want her to be happy, healthy and at peace with herself... She cannot achieve any of this in her current state.... She got too much too early, the poor girl never even HAD a fukkin' childhood and she is totally fukked-up because of it... Being famous has made her miserable, an emotional wreck, a drug addicted alcoholic and a manic depressive... She is NOT a happy bunny.... Giving it all up, just might help her achieve inner peace and true happiness.... If you truly love her, you'll urge her to give up....
March 15, 200718 yr But maybe she DOES want to continue ... just because she can afford to not make any more music doesn't mean that she wants to, I know if I never worked from being 23 to the rest of my life, that'd tip me over the edge more than any stressful career.

March 15, 200718 yr Author I want her to be happy, but I can still tell she wants to be a performer. Does she need a break? Deffinitely. Does she need to quit? Well, if she wants to, but I don't think she does.

There's a lot of love in there
March 15, 200718 yr Acceptable in the 80's is a killer track, and working with Kylie is an achievement but . . . Who is he? . . . WhooOOO IS HEEEE??? Seems he's caught a bit of Lilyallenitis
March 15, 200718 yr I do want her to be happy, but I also think she might miss perform, which is something she said she loves to do and makes her happy plenty of times. It's a case of 'loving the music, hating the Industry/Media bullsh!t...'. Kurt Cobain suffered the same thing really and it ended up killing him.... In his suicide note he talked of "being a fake". At the very least, she needs to take a considerable Sabbatical, raise her kids, get a handle on what (and more importantly who) is real and genuine and not plastic and fake, stop hanging round leeches like Paris Hilton and other parasitical, vampiric b/astards, sack her management, quit her label and do the music on her own....
