I only heard Mathmatics (which was a bit more rougher than on the record) before got inside home. They were going on about the Country music influences you can detect in the music. Cash got a mention along with a couple of other 'Old Style Country acts'. you can always go to bbc to hear it. well i think he (Simon Aldred) could be the 'new' badly drawn boy. perhaps this is a lazy comparison but i suppose mejja journos will come up with this as well and the last BDB alb plummeted without trace (its an alright album as well) Info from the site: Born in Bolton, located in Manchester and inspired by the haunting melancholy of acts such as Sparklehorse, Smog, Johnny Cash and the ceaseless hope to be found at the heart of his Northern landscape, Simon Aldred abandoned his absurd leanings and coloured the void with stories of love and loss in the form of Cherry Ghost. In June of last year after several years of falling out of the back of transits, he signed to Heavenly Recordings and has recently completed four months of recording with an elite squadron of musicians to take on the forces of evil.
