I think we're pretty good there. ^_^ Apart from 2005's semi-final.
1991 should've gone to France :(

They tied on both points and twelve points didn't they? :o

They tied on both points and twelve points didn't they? :o

They did, and it's a shame because the French song that year was far superior to Carola's :(

However, I can make up for it by wanting Carola to win last year

2002 (Come back) - Austria

Since 2004, the highest points for the UK are always an 8 from Ireland! But Ireland only gave 12 points to the UK once.

Austria is the country to have given more 12 points to the UK (7 times) with Belgium next with six and amazingly France with five.

Finland and Commonwealth members Malta and Cyprus never gave 12 points to the UK.

Some cool facts about 12 points:

- Ireland is the country with most 12 points, in a total of 63 times. The UK is 2nd with 59 points.

- UK 1997 and Greece 2005 were the countries who got more 12 points in one year (10 times). However 24 countries cast votes in 1997 and in 2005 were 39, which makes Katrina & the Waves feat more amazing.

- UK 1981 is the winner with least 12 points, just two. France, Switzerland and Germany got more 12 points than Bucks Fizz.

- The best result with no 12 points comes from Norway 1996 became the runner-up without getting any 12 points.

- The first 12 points ever were given in 1975 from Netherlands to Luxmebourg...whose singer was Irish.

- Austria had to wait 13 years to receive its first 12 points in 1989. They came from the first voting country that year, Italy. It would get 12 points also from Belgium and Greece.

- Having scores 12 points in 1977, Finland would only see countries giving it 12 points again in 2006.

- In 2004, Ukraine had to wait until the 12th woting country to get its first 12 points. It eventually got more and won.

- UK 1997 and Israel 1978 had five 12 points in a row.

- Greece 1998 and Portugal 1999 got 12 points from respectively Cyprus and France... and nothing else.

Good facts, especially the Katrina & the Waves one. :D
