Not much new, we already know that Rick Rubin will be producing the new record. Well i read today that Lars Ulrich (drummer for 'tallica if you didn't already know) said that this new album has an old school type of edge to it. So does this mean they're returning to thrash? i personally doubt that however what i think is more likely is that they will make another record similar to that of Black Album, probably won't sell as much or be as successful but still be a good hard rock record.

So long as it's an improvement on "St Anger", "Load" and "Reload"......Rick Rubin's a pretty safe pair of hands on the production duties, but surely Metallica are experienced enough in the studio to produce their own albums.....
