PREPARE yourself for a high-street revival of fluorescent green jumpers, white slacks and removable Velcro skirts.

Yes, it can only mean one thing — a BUCKS FIZZ comeback.

The original line-up of the 1981 Eurovision winners have agreed to take the stage together for the first time in more than 20 years.

The band, made famous by their legendary knicker-flashing performance, will star on BBC1’s Making Your Mind Up show on Saturday to choose this year’s UK Eurovision entry.

Three of the original line-up — MIKE NOLAN, CHERYL BAKER and JAY ASTON — are definites. And with some encouragement from Bizarre’s loyal army of readers, BOBBY G will join the party.

Bobby has been dragging his heels after years of squabbling over the use of the Bucks Fizz brand. But I hear he could be persuaded by some public support.

Oh, and if he can get back from his gig at a caravan park in Ireland tomorrow night.

A pal said: “Jay, Cheryl and Mike want to put their differences behind them for one last show-stopping performance.

“They worked on PETER KAY’s charity single for Comic Relief and enjoyed catching up. Bobby loved seeing everyone but isn’t sure about reforming the band.â€

Bucks Fizz are one of Britain’s few Eurovision success stories.

The winning song Making Your Mind Up was their first No1, in March 1981. They followed up with two Top 20 singles and a further No1 in November 1981 with Land Of Make Believe.

In 1984 the group’s tour bus crashed and Mike was injured. In 1985 Jay left and was replaced by SHELLEY PRESTON. She left in 1989 and the group decided to continue as a trio. Cheryl became a telly presenter and left in 1993. The last 12 months has been the year of the comeback. TAKE THAT, ALL SAINTS, EAST 17 and 5IVE have reformed.

I’d love to see a tubby Bobby G and Mike Nolan tear large skirts from middle-aged mums Cheryl Baker and Jay Aston.

Help Bobby make his mind up by sending me your support.
