I think it may be #1. Now that Timbaland's been pushed back and Rihanna's sales are declining, it has a good chance, but i'm not that hopeful. :( I guess things will become clearer in tomorrow's midweeks though! ^_^ And yes I have bought my copy today. ^_^ The Bakery sounds great in HQ. ^_^

after glastonbury & t in the park thet should definitely return at least in the top 5 (album chart) n top the singles chart.

 

the people n the press are sayin that the gigs were great but i dont see that to have a big impact to their sales.

 

Fluorescent Adolescent is not a safe #1 n i m not sure if the album s gonna return in the top 10.

 

dont get me wrong.an album in thew top 5 with the best sellers of the year n another top5 hit are definitely great news for any band ...but i d love to see a great act like the arctics doin even better....

Well i'd love to see them in the Top5 bestsellers at the end of the year, I think it will be difficult but I hope they acheive it.

 

Thing is that atm there's stuff like Live Earth etc etc and that really effects acts sales like take Arctic Monkeys for example, but anyway I HOPE FA is #1 in the midweeks tomorrow, it should sell about 20k on physicals at least hopefully and they're #9 on iTunes so hopefully the should be able to hold down a good amount of downloads.

 

If word spreads about how good the B-sides are then hopefully more people will buy the single as the B-sides are REALLY good.

Well it'd be amazing if that happened, but it's not very likely at all. :( But I think it's sales will be pretty decent and the thing that goes in FA's favour is that it's FAR more mainstream than Brianstorm. It should have more longativity and should sell more in the long run than Brianstorm and they've done their fair share of promotion for FA as well. I can't remember how far Brianstorm got in the airplay either but FA's at #6 at the moment I think, and Brianstorm never got that high I don't think so all the signs look positive so far. ^_^

Well i'm not sure whether it will miss the Top5, for all we know it could be Top5 byt who knows.

 

The MW report doesn't make much sense though, I mean new entry in the chart? It was at #23 I think last week so that's a mistake on their behalf, but it's up to #8 on iTunes so it's downloads must be increasing so who knows maybe it will even climb instead of falling. :lol:

 

But on the positive side, just thinking about it now many 2nd singles from indie bands have done that well recently, so considering it's Top10 it's good news at least! And it'll mean their 5th Top10 single at least.

It's listed twice, at 9 and 12. Combined sales make it number 2, 1,000 behind Rihanna.

 

Edit: Perhaps more importantly, due to FA the album is up to 2 on iTunes, so I'm suspecting a decent increase in album sales this week.

Well the best thing is for it to have helped the album, that's the main thing after all.

That's what I thought it might have been. Hopefully they're included for the chart though, but I don't think AM really have a chance of being #1 tbh. :( It could happen I guess, but I doubt it, they're more likely to fall then climb.

It's become quite a common thing for a single to be listed twice in the midweeks before being combined by the end of the week. I think one of the reasons is that , in the midweeks, a download from the album may be counted separately from a purchase (or download) of the single. They will be combined by Sunday so, fingers crossed, they could yet make it to the top.
