Posted April 14, 200619 yr Right well I went to go see this earlier today. If you're a fan of the other ones then you'll probably like it. Its better than the fthird one in my opinion and the Saw mickey takes are pretty good as well........the film even manages to take the mickey out of Brokeback Mountain. There are some good parts in it and there are some really rubbish parts in it.........ie the charchters always hit their heads on things and it ain't funny. Oh and tye get a cheap Micheal Jackson dig as well when they take the mick out of War Of The Worlds, Jacko has all these kids with him that aren't is and he's trying to take the man's daughter away.

April 14, 200619 yr Author I found the fourth one better than the third one and you're right about the first two they were absolute c**p, but the Saw bits at the beginning and the end are the best bits though of the film.

April 14, 200619 yr the charchters always hit their heads on things and it ain't funny. That seems to be a reoccuring thing in the Scary Movie, your right, it aint funny.
April 14, 200619 yr Author I dunno....... all I do know is that their is basically loads of the same charachters in the 3rd that are in the 4th.
April 14, 200619 yr That seems to be a reoccuring thing in the Scary Movie, your right, it aint funny. think it's the thing in all of these films, the pink panther was all slapstick as well, but the audience liked it, however even though it has been slagged off, was a couple of good lines in pp, probably written by steve martin himself?

I don't know mate, i only go to see films that really appeal to me, pp just seemed like a kiddies film to me.
April 17, 200619 yr Hopefully I shall be seeing this  The first 2 are classic comedy for me - I just love them - the 3rd one was just utter c**p - I didnt find it funny at all really tho the Jacko pisstake was the best part.

April 18, 200619 yr This actually surprisingly works... I originally gave up because the first two were so fukkin' lame, but when I heard that Jerry Zucker and Pat Proft (the creators of the fantastic "Airplane" films...) were involved I thought I'd give it a whirl. This is by a mile the best that I've seen of the "Scary Movie" franchise, my only criticism would be that it lampoons specific films rather than genres, which is where the "Airplane" films' strengths lay, the trouble is if you aint seen the specific films that are having the piss ripped out of them in SM4, then a lot of it will go over your head.... I think my favourite bit in the film was where Cindy and the Blue Kid were spouting random Japanese words and phrases and the kid says "Stop, your pathetic attempts at speaking Japanese dishonours my ears"....  Quite inspired....

Airplane is funny even though is old and spoofing even older films.
April 18, 200619 yr this was fooking funny! the beginning was keck but it ended up really good i liked the war of the world's mickey-takes, and also the grudge ones brokeback mountain ones were $h!t though and it was funny with the blind girl from the village :D 08/10 :D
April 18, 200619 yr Airplane is funny even though is old and spoofing even older films. Maybe, but everyone is familiar with disaster movies (which is the genre that "Airplane" was ripping into), it was the generality of the satire that made those films work so well, you didn't need to have seen one particular film to get the jokes, whereas "Scary Movie 4"s one weakness is that it's a bit too specific, if you aint seen one of the films then the jokes which apply to that specific film will just go over your head...

Airplane is silly what ever it's spoofing thats why i like it.
April 21, 200619 yr I'm going to see this on Sunday, it dosent look anywhere near as funny as the others though.
