Cyndi's song wasn't dull at all, and would've gone down much better than this will. -_- The last time we did well was with a ballad, so what have we done since? Sent FIVE upbeat pop songs, with the exception of James Fox.

Agreed completely  And James Fox wasn't even the sort of ballad that works at Eurovision, so people can't even point to it as an example of a floppy ballad

When was the last time we did well? 2002. What did we do? WE SENT A WOMAN TO DO A GOOD EURO BALLAD :manson:

People do NOT learn from history in this damned country :smoke:

And Scooch aren't even the best entry to have done this theme - that would easily go to Sestre in 2002, which is far more hilarious than Scooch for many reasons! :smoke:

I'm warming to Scooch... just looking at it on YouTube now they have pretty good stage presence. :( Although I still believe Cyndi would've been a better choice, this is better than the other five - with the possible exception of H&B.
Why would this country want Scooch?! Do they want the UK to fail badly! I'm embarressed that they are representing this country!
Cyndi's song was dull, totally uninteresting and furthermore a soundalike of 'You Raise Me Up'.

At least Scooch's entry is marginally interesting/fun...

Yes, my point exactly :cheer:

coucou guys , this is cyndi

I am so surprised how things are turning out i ve only seen today what really happened that night and I have to say that for it isn t as bad as you think . It is true that i heard my name but at the same time as i heard scootch name so i have never thought that i had won i knew there were some confusions and you can see me that i am looking at them like "please let me know what is going on" so trust me there were no big disappointement and for me it happened so fast that off stage i had already forgot about it , i think it was people comment that made me aware of it.but i had never felt like the BBC had been treating me badly never, they actually were sorry about it and did apologize and i am certainly not mad at terry for what happened i never thought it was his fault , he was so nice with me and so supportive that the only thing i can say to him is thank you.

but anyway now you know how i feel about this and i have to thank you for all your support it means so much to me because of you i do not feel like i have lost anything and that is probably why too i do not feel so disappointed ,your the reason why i want to go on now and work on th next songs.thanks a lot again

and by the way if you really loved the song you will be able to download it on Itunes next week

big big big kisses

Let's all get Cyndi's single higher than Scooch!!

It still pisses me off horrendously, even months after. How bad is that? :(
Cyndi's song is very nice, I still listen to it a lot now! *I still much prefer Scooch though*
I actually realised today we had four very catchy songs in Cyndi, Big Brovaz, H&B and Scooch. Shame we chose the one guaranteed to do $h!ttest. :arrr:

Final results showed that Scooch did indeed get 53% compared to Cyndi's 47%. :arrr: Big Brovaz were third, H&B fourth, Liz McClarnon in fifth and Brian Harvey last.
