Hello Preston :D

I didn't see the programme but my daughter did and she said that Catherine Tate mentioned Darius in a sketch. I think it was a sketch that she has performed before and Darius bears the 'brunt' of the joke. It's something about going along to Top of the Pops to see McFly but missing them and getting 'fingered' by Darius!! - charming isn't it!! I think Darius has been told before that Catherine has used him in this sketch and he thought that it was hilarious and was flattered!!! I've never really seen much of Catherine Tate's comedy, but what I have seen didn't impress me much - she is, however, a very good straight actress!.

Thanks Julia. It still doesnt stop does it. Sorry never liked catherine tate or her so called humour.
She's a bit optimistic. If Darius took everything thrown at him seriously, he'd probably move to LA. Seriously, he's always just laughed at jokes against him

Fingered by Darius? That anyone should be so lucky!

It's strange if it was Catherine Tate because I've got a magazine interview with Darius somewhere and the interviewer told him about this sketch but attributed it to Vicky Pollard in the Little Britain stage tour.

I've been squirrelling everything away neatly because I'm having friends from abroad for the next ten days so I haven't a clue what I did with the mag or even if I've still got it. I do know I read it just a few days ago. I've got a feeling it was a Heat interview circa 2005/2006, the first Chicago run. Maybe someone else has it.

My bottoming of the house is what has kept me offline for so long. I'll pop on when I can but i reckon it will be quite infrequent.

It wasnt Catherine tate, it was a little britain sketch, with that one that goes yeah but no but yeah from their stage show.

Thanks PIP :D .......

Sorry everyone - it was probably me not completely understanding what my daughter told me!! :D I have never watched Little Britain or any of Catherine Tate's shows - I have only ever seen adverts for both and neither have appealed!! (In fact, I thought Catherine Tate was in Little Britain!!! :D ) And you're right BT, it was in a Heat interview that I read that D knew about his name being used in the sketch....... I wondered where you had been - hope you are feeling much better soon!! :D

Thanks, Julie. I don't mind working hard nor do I mind fighting off an annoyingly persistent illness. It's having to do the two at the same time that's getting me down.

Off to play all the optimistic, uplifting DD tracks now and crack on with as much as I can.

It's Mothers Day today BT so you should be pampering yourself (or being pampered!! :D ), not working too hard!!

Playing D's music while you work will definitely help though - have fun!!

My daughter should be arriving shortly and then I have to go to the Garden Centre, buy my Mum a present and visit her and then go to see my husband's Mum - never a dull moment!!

I bought my first cd for simply ages yesterday, how sad am Im The proclaimers 500 miles from the comic relief show. I remember it the first time around and always liked the song. Was pleased to see on digital spy it was at no.1 in the midweeks with the offi.comic relief cd at no.22 which in my opinion was a far inferior song.

I like that song, a classic! I was singing along on the radio - yes far better than that mess with GA and sugarbabes..

I just dont get little briatain or chaterine tate either..some of the one liners were funny on first hearing..but for anyone with an ounce of brain they soon lose their appeal..the sketches just arent funny after a short while, how many times can you see someone being sick and still laugh, or someone saying am I bovvered.

mind you, the sketch with Tony Balir and Tate on CR when he suddenly piped in with the am I bovvered lines was a classic, the funniest thing in the whole show. I will miss him as PM.
