Posted March 19, 200718 yr As it says in the poll...only 10 can go through, so only choose ten. If you haven't heard any of the songs, scroll to the bottom of http://www.keithm.utvinternet.ie/Helsinki2007.htm in order to hear the songs or to see performances or videos. If you want to download any of the songs, right click the mp3 link and click 'Save Target As...' and save to the folder you want to. ^_^ Personally, I reckon the top ten will be made up of Israel, Cyprus, Georgia, Switzerland, Moldova, Netherlands, Macedonia, Malta, Slovenia and Latvia, and that Moldova will pip Malta to the post for winner.
March 19, 200718 yr Bulgaria, Israel, Cyprus, Switzerland, Belarus, Moldova, Serbia, Andorra, Malta and Netherlands Semi-Final winner I've gone for Switzerland as I can see Bobo coming up with a memorable performance
March 19, 200718 yr 10 qualifiers: Macedonia  Bulgaria Serbia Moldova Israel Slovenia Turkey Cyprus Belarus Georgia and semi's winner : TURKEY
March 19, 200718 yr This is how I have voted on ESCToday's Big Poll: 1. Switzerland 2. Malta 3. Belarus 4. Moldova 5. Serbia 6. Israel 7. Cyprus 8. Andorra 9. Bulgaria 10. The Netherlands Lets see how inaccurate I will look come May 10th...
March 19, 200718 yr Cyprus Slovenia Turkey Belarus Bulgaria Latvia Georgia Moldova Switzerland FYR Macedonia In that order. ^_^ I expect the final to differ slightly though, like in 2004. Andorra and Serbia will just miss out too I think.
April 20, 200718 yr Author BUMP ^_^ We have a few more on now so this should receive a few more votes :D
April 28, 200718 yr Semi-Final winner I've gone for Switzerland as I can see Bobo coming up with a memorable performance DJ Bobo may have only had 3 minor hits in the UK (Everybody - Love Is All Around - Chihuahua) but he's been massive all over Europe for 12 years or more. He's most famous for his Techno music such as Love Is All Around - Respect Yourself, Pray, Shadows Of The Night, Take Control and many more.
May 5, 200718 yr The Netherlands should be in the finals cause I think its a good song and the girl who sings it has a great voice.
May 5, 200718 yr SerbiaBulgariaSwitzerlandIcelandBelarusTurkeyHungaryFYR MacedoniaMoldovaSloveniaMaltaCyprusLatviaGeorgiaNetherlandsIsraelAndorraNorwayCroatiaDenmarkEstoniaMontenegroPortugalCzech RepublicAustriaPolandBelgiumAlbania I'm thinking that order now, well I did that a while ago for Big Poll. I'd like to see Norway and Croatia higher though tbh.
May 6, 200718 yr I think half of the ten songs going through will be from Eastern Europe. For the favorites Serbia, Bulgaria, and Belarus it doesn't even matter if they bomb with their performances, the block voting will surely carry them through. For the last places for the Eastern group I think it will be a tought battle between Macedonia, Moldova, and Hugary (maybe even Georgia) and the ones prevailing will be the ones with best shows and with most friendly neighbours. The remaining five places I think will go for: - Switzerland (a favorite and with his experience I doubt he will have a disasterous perormance (see Kate Ryan last year) - Cyprus (another favorite and has the experience for a good performance) - Andorra (the rockers and younger viewers should help this go through) - Iceland (strong Meat Loafish adult pop-rock track that probably won't get many high marks but should get votes from all around Europe and pull through) - Turkey (enough Turks living in Europe that will vote their homeland and that will be enough. I mean Turkey seems to score, for example, 12 points every year from Germany no matter how poor the song is and there is a huge Turkish population in Germany so put one and one togethar and you get 12 for Turkey) I think eight or nine of the countries above will advance and then we will get one or two "surprises". Maybe Europeans are into basic europop from Denmark or think Israel's song is funny (which it isn't IMO) since you cannot vote for Ukraine on Thursday. Oh, and BTW, I think I'll go to see D'Nash gig tomorrow
May 6, 200718 yr And I do hope Andorra, Iceland, Cyprus, and Switzerland will sail through into the final. For the rest it doesn't matter, maybe Belarus and at least a few Western European nations. It would be cool if Czech would qualify but that certainly won't happen. Edited May 8, 200718 yr by JackJones
