March 20, 200718 yr I'm sure Robbie will come back with more Swing stuff. He could do a duet with Ray Quinn! The very thought of that makes me cringe. :puke2:

March 20, 200718 yr I'm sure Robbie will come back with more Swing stuff. He could do a duet with Ray Quinn! And maybe TT can do a duet with Pestlife
March 20, 200718 yr Again making unnecessary digs at Robbie when this has NOTHING to do with him. How very sad. You are doing nothing other than giving TT fans a bad name and $h!t stirring. Scotty I take it back and I'll never mention his name again! I'll only say nice things about everyone and everything and the world will be a better place. Kath

How very sad. You are doing nothing other than giving TT fans a bad name and $h!t stirring. Yes just like all those unneccesary digs that Robbie has made throughout his career at Take That & in particular Gary at various concerts, interviews, 3 separate BRIT awards and one album title "Sing When You're Winning" which was a reference to Gary Barlow being dropped from his record label after his second solo album, the lyric "Ain't No Chance Of the Record Company Dropping Me" on Kids and the song "Where Has Gary Barlow Gone". Still I'm sure the mooted first single "Just The Two of Us" a duet with Kevin Spacey from his forthcoming second swing album "Lets Swing Again" will be better than anything off of Take That's Beautiful World album.

Still I'm sure the mooted first single "Just The Two of Us" a duet with Kevin Spacey from his forthcoming second swing album "Lets Swing Again" will be better than anything off of Take That's Beautiful World album. First of all, can I just say I find it beyond pathetic that there are still people 10 years on that are STILL harping on about the past. Move on already, both Robbie and the lads have, it is just a shame some fans cannot seem to be capable of doing so and continue to stir $h!t. Secondly, I find it amusing that people tend to be so narrow minded and bias when it comes to the whole thing. Yes, Robbie said some hurtful things about Gary in the past, he was young and stupid and has apologised. But TT have also apologised for the way they kicked Robbie out of the band when he was clearly going through a really rough time with his drink and drugs problems. Mark Owen said that they should've been there for him instead of just kicking him out, so it is certainly not just one sidded. Gary also called Robbie a 'w****r' among other things. And where did Robbie say those Kids lyrics were about Gary? First I've heard of it. As for the 'Where has Gary Barlow gone' lyric, that was not the name of the song, just a lyric from 'I Tried Love', personally if I had've been Gary I would be flattered and laughed it off. And as for the Swing album and Spacey, all I can say is I am gobsmacked you actually believe what is edited in by fans on Wikipedia  If you must know, Robbie is currently writing a new album with Mark Ronson producing it, so yet more different instead of playing it safe by releasing MOR ballads. But if is funny that you are so anti-Robbie all of a sudden considering you thought Rudebox was so amazing and had it as your second fave album of last year. :P I don't know, however get why you felt the need to reply. I was basically saying to Ms Kathy to stop stirring things up and making unneccesary digs at Rob day in day out in this forum and in threads that have nothing to do with him, as it is childish and attention seeking. I could just spend all my time slagging off TT, but that will just cause a Robbie fans Vs TT fans war at the end of the day which is'nt exactly something I'd encourage and certainly won't help get guests to sign up.

March 20, 200718 yr Scotty - For crying out loud. Pop Rivalries have happened since the beginning of Rock Music itself with Mods vs Rockers, Punks vs Hippies, etc. That is why Elvis fans that I have known have never liked The Beatles. While Rolling Stones fans regard the Beatles as just a pop group. Led Zeppelin fans regard Queen as commercial sellouts without musical integrity. John Lennon & Paul McCartney fans have been arguing for over 40 years who is better. The same with: The Kinks v The Who Marc Bolan v David Bowie Slade v Sweet Sex Pistols v the Clash The Jam (Paul Weller) v The Police (Sting) Duran Duran v Spandau Ballet Boy George (Culture Club) v George Michael (Wham!) Stone Roses v Happy Mondays Public Enemy v NWA Blur v Oasis Notorious BIG v Tupac Shakur Take That v East 17 Spice Girls v All Saints And on & on & on. The bottom line is that I know what I like, I'm not necessarily biased towards one act or another - I personally think Gary Barlow is self absorbed, but at least he comes across as a regular guy, whereas Robbie has made many great records but he came across very badly in the November 2005 Take That documentary, which a hell of a lot people (certainly the vast majority of people who I spoke to) who watched thought the same way too especially on Digitalspy, PopJustice & BBC Radio 2 forums which I was on at the time. However, I've always preferred Robbie's music to Take That's. I'm a big fan of Morrissey, but I disagree with a lot of his opinions and beliefs but it does not mean I'm going to dislike his music. And just don't get me started on Michael Jackson........... who's music I love but as a person, well....... I'm sorry but I think there are too many people in society and certainly online who cannot handle any form of constructive criticism of anything. Which I blame on New Labour's political correctness mixed with today's compensation culture, and blame anyone but yourselves attitude which grows up from schools upwards where people are afraid to play competitive sports, etc. I've said, what I'm going to say & I'm off to bed.
March 21, 200718 yr Gaz can handle it. He's a real man. Besides - he's got a life. Unlike us sad tossers who post on forums! Kathy Yes dear Kathy ;) takes one to know one doesn't it ?! Last I looked this is the TT forum and the 3rd single thread, so what does Robbie have to do with any of it. Why must TT fans constantly bring him into any TT discussion just for the sake of slagging him off. People really do need to get a life. Obviously your mothers never taught you people good manners  If you've got nothing good to say don't say anything at all.
March 21, 200718 yr And maybe TT can do a duet with Pestlife  What has 16 legs and 8 heads? TT dueting with Westlife. There would be the Westlife boys sitting on their stools as they do, while Take That breakdance in front of them. Robbie Williams and Bryan McFaddden standing in the wings hoping it will all go wrong. Gary Barlow and Shane Westlife will be fighting it out over who has the most lyrics in the lead vocals. March 21, 200718 yr You really do remind me of someone from another forum I go on Kathy. ;) Oh Scotty go on! I'm intrigued. Which one? If you're talking TTTV I've stopped going there now its too boring (thats whenever you can get into the darned thing!) I can't believe you visit GBTT so it can only be ..... Tah.Tah.Tah...IMDb. If its none of those then I must have a virtual doppelganger 'cause I don't know of any other sites. Gotta go - going to try and watch the first five minutes of Life on Mars again before I toddle along to work! Its bad - whenever I don't like a job I just up and leave but I've committed myself now with all these bloomin' TT concert tickets, flight to and from Belfast and a night's stay at the Belfast Hilton ... that's apart from spending pennies when I'm there! March 21, 200718 yr At the end of the day it's all a matter of preference! All this bickering ( of late) only makes it unpleasant for people who want nothing more than to read/post about their fav singer/group, in this case TT. I happen to like Robbie as well as TT, but for Christs sake, move on and chill! Anyone thinking of joining in will run a mile if they read this c**p! Lifes too short! This is way...http://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/images/smilies/offtopic.gif

March 23, 200718 yr I'd Wait For Life is my favourite track on the album. However, I think it will be used as ammunition against Gary, because it does sound like a superior version of his first solo single Forever Love. Like the majority of you I expected Reach Out to be the 3rd single. As for Gary going solo, he has reportedly added to the upcoming paperback version of his autobiography My Take (updated until the BRIT 2007 awards) - that he has no further intention of using Take That to re-start his solo career because he lacks that extra something in the charisma or personality department to be successful without the rest of the guys. While adding that it is a lonely experience and harder work with interviews, etc being a solo artist compared to being part of a group.
