Is it absolutely set in stone that IWFL will be the third single? Because Shine wasn't going to be the second single originally. I still think Reach Out would be a better summer release.

 

This is Pop - how did you get that information on what Gary said about solo stuff (I'm glad - wouldn't want to put him through the hell he had the first time) - its so great that he's honest and open about it. Besides - I see a future for him as a writer (books).

I'd Wait For Life is my favourite track on the album.

 

However, I think it will be used as ammunition against Gary, because it does sound like a superior version of his first solo single Forever Love. Like the majority of you I expected Reach Out to be the 3rd single.

 

As for Gary going solo, he has reportedly added to the upcoming paperback version of his autobiography My Take (updated until the BRIT 2007 awards) - that he has no further intention of using Take That to re-start his solo career because he lacks that extra something in the charisma or personality department to be successful without the rest of the guys. While adding that it is a lonely experience and harder work with interviews, etc being a solo artist compared to being part of a group.

 

There is no way Gary would want to go solo again...I seem to recall , thinking back that he was very unhappy and gained quite a lot of weight when they split . Like I have said before, these guys are so happy to be back together, there will be no squabbling on who sings what this time round. I believe whatever they record or release will have been agreed by each of the group. :cheer: I don't mind what they release as 3rd single just as long as they are all happy with their choice.

Agreed! Agreed! Agreed! Its just so great seeing the four of them so happy together. Its not just the singing - its whole Take That thing I like - they're not like a group they're like a family of four brothers - and the music's pretty good too!

good point the comeback has done so well and its great for them,knowing they can do it all ove ragain with the same success as before if not more

While I wait for Life isn't my favourite track on the album I still think it will do very well..... it will be a brilliant achievement to have 3 straight number 1's :dance:

 

 

To be honest though, I think Reach Out or Hold on would have probably been bigger commercial successes
