'Pon De Replay' made #2, 'SOS' #1, 'Unfaithful' landed somewhere in the top 10 but aside from that nothing of note I don't think.

She also had ''Break It Off'' which peaked at #09 over there I think ^_^

I'm lookin for Rihanna's Umbrella the no rap version, cos I think Jay-Z kills the song (as always)

anyone know where I can get it?? :D

Umbrella sold 276,705 downloads, the highest selling downloads for a debut single.

Fergie's "Fergalicious" still holds the record for most downloads in a week though (290k)

Go Rihanna :)

#1 on Hot 100 is for sure now :D

:cheer: :cheer: hopefully another number 1 on the hot 100 then! she deserves it :yahoo:
Well done Rihanna! Also well done to Fergie I fought that song was a flop :o
I can't believe this has done so well :o It's HUGE. I was sure after doing so well here it would be a bit hit and miss in the US.
oooh i just remembered Fergalicious didn't even make number 1 over there did it :o ;)
ehrm i dont think jay-z killed the song at all plus if it wasnt for jay-z rihanna would never got a record deal in the first place plus we would not have had a rihanna forum too "remember that"
I've finally heard this version and I don't think the song is the same without the rap..I like that part, especially the "eh eh" from Rihanna in the background during it. :) It just goes well.

It's a real pity Jay-Z had to get involved on Rihanna's latest single, because even though his contribution is kept to a minimum, thankfully disappearing after the opening rap, he still ruins the track somewhat with his monotonous, crushingly dull vocal. Thankfully, Rihanna's on top form, and when her vocal kicks in and draws you towards the thumping, punchy harmony, it's almost possible to forget that Jay-Z was ever part of this track.

Although the video for this song ruins the not-so-subtle metaphor of 'umbrella' by actually bringing an umbrella into the frame (thank you, we are not actually that slow). 'Umbrella' is a throbbing, immensely funky and slightly trancey r'n'b pop tune that may just blow your mind a little bit. It's no surprise that pre-physical release, this spent two weeks at the top of the chart and with any luck, it might just stick there.
