Whatever It Takes is a licensing programme that raises funds for charities through licensing partnerships. Unique products featuring artworks donated by leaders in the worlds of film, fashion, music and sport, are designed, manufactured and distributed under the Whatever It Takes brand. Royalties are used to help fund charitable causes of the leader's choice, and the work of 21st Century Leaders (a wholly owned trading subsidiary of Trade plus Aid charity reg. no. 1061376).

 

Their latest campaign includes artists signing and writing phrases for wristbands and selling it to the public. The Killers have participated but Brandon's "Smile Like You Mean It" wristbands are sold out.

:rofl: no! there's this student card thing over here called Connexions Card which and if you sign up for it you get "points" for attendance at school etc. you can then exchange these points for "rewards" and gifts, i exchanged some of my points for the wristband :lol:

I didn't know about the wristbands - although I have seen the Whatever It Takes mugs before. The Killers 'Smile Like You Mean It' is still sold out - but I am gonna go for David Bowie's 'Peace thru Art'.

:lol: I understand now, well... if you got it for free then I guess the conections card people paid it for you, as a reward or something. What I mean is that the money for charity was surely given, even when you got it for free.
