I always wondered why Fergalicious wasnt released as Fergie's second single in the UK as the record company went on to release Glamorous after London Bridge (with a 6 month gap, too).

Can anyone shed some light on that?

They probably wanted, people to buy the album instead.

Like they did with Say It Right, but it actually worked for Nelly.

didnt for Fergie :(

I hope she re-releases it here as the third single. It is such a great single and would of definetly gone top 10!

Well they could have released it as a download only single at least, like Nelly did.

If they wanted to promote the album instead, I think it's rather silly to do it with the second single.

Nelly has done it with her fourth single, and it is working well because of that. Say It Right is a strong single that gives people an incentive to buy the album that has already given her 3 top 5 singles. By the time Fergalicious was released (outside the UK), people only knew London Bridge, which they could buy as a single...

Guys, Fergalicious ISNT going to be the 3rd single here! Its Big Girls Dont Cry! Quite right too, BGDC is a million times better than fergytrashous.
Glamorous is the best on the album imo BY FAR and i'm so glad it was released as 2nd single. Fergalicious will probably be released at some point seeing as it has a video etc..
"Fergalicious" was pulled for obvious reasons; its downloads were going nowhere. About 2 weeks previous to release it was struggling at approx #80 on iTunes. It just got no attenion. Maybe some promo and a re-release would work but "Big Girls Don't Cry (Personal)" is quite clearly going to better here than "Fergalicious" ever could do. Very suited to the UK market.

Youre totally right! BGDC deserves to be the biggest hit yet off The Dutchess. Maybe by releasing something that involves actual singing, people will be swayed by Glamorous and BGDC and buy the album (I might be one of them!). London Bridge did okay as a song but it didnt help album sales and it was a trashy, dire first single.

Fergalicious would've done well with some more promo, however Big Girls Don't Cry will do so much better as a release here, but I think that Fergalicious will be the UK's 4th single ^_^

I thought it got to twenty something on downloads

You call that singing on 'Glamorous'? I call it whispering.

It failed to chart in the UK Top 75 based on downloads; even with a massive amount of video exposure...

It couldn't chart on downloads, as back then the rules were different and it had to have an accompanying physical release.

Even so it wouldn't have charted Top 75 considering it never got past #70 on iTunes...

I know wikipedia is hardly a realiable source  but i read it got to 26 on the download chart

I agree. I do like Fergilicious though. It's Big Girls Don't Cry as my #1, then Glamorous, then Fergilicious. Then Voodoo Doll, Clumsy and Here I Come in no order :D

It got to #36 on the download chart.

25/11/2006 Fergie Fergalicious 36 {36}-38->2
