 He looks drunk in that 'My Sweet Prince' performance. Excellent though.

I'm loving these funky number logos you created. :o

Yes, he looks drunk to me also. :kink:

Well, I was trying to put something nice, so I remember that I could do that with number of songs and Placebo sign and logo came out. :cheer: Glad you like it. :D

Follow The Cops Back Home

Album: Meds (2006)

Let's follow the cops back home,

And rob their houses.

I'm medicated, how are you?

- Nice ballad which I like since I saw performance on Rock AM Ring 2006. Still, I wouldn't like for it to be next single from Meds (if there even be one more), because there are better songs for it. -_-

Live video: Very nice. :D

Sleeping With Ghosts

Album: Sleeping With Ghosts (2003)

What good's religion

When it's each other we despise

Damn the government

Damn the killing

Damn the lies

- Very nice, but as many of the songs is better live, imo. Live version is a bit faster and dynamic, and album version can be boring sometimes. I always listen this song live, taken from some of concerts. :P

http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p95/robfan1/30.jpg I Know

Album: Placebo (1996)

I know, you love the song but not the singer

I know, you've got me wrapped around your finger

I know, you want the sin without the sinner

I know, the past will catch you up as you run faster

I know, the last in line is always called a bast*rd

I know, the past will catch you up as you run faster

- It's a song with great and very specific lyrics. Every line in song starts with "I know..."

Live video: Amnéville 2006 - Nice atmosphere, too bad it's a fan video. But you can hear how fans singing. Not great, but they are singing. :P And Brian wears a kilt I think.

That faster and more alternative version of 'Sleeping With Ghosts' is called 'Soulmates', and was a b-side for 'This Picture'. Would you like me to send you the studio version? :P

And 'I Know' is.

  • Author

Yes, please! :D

I didn't know there was a studio version of Soulmates, but I know that Soulmates is faster version of Sleeping With Ghosts.

You Don't Care About Us

Album: Without You I'm Nothing (1998)

If it's a bad case, you're on the rampage.

Another memory... scarred.

You're at the wrong place, you're on the back page,

you're in the getaway... car.

Good song, but underrated. I have album version with low sound, so if Aly and Leefke have better, I appeal to them to upload better for me. :P

Live video: FIB 2000 - I don't like that Brian's hair style. But, it's better then that one on the beginning of their career. They are young here.

Some predictions in here would be welcome. :P

Like top 10 or songs which are missed top 40. ^_^

 You know what! I think you, me and Aly will end up with 3 very different top 40's!

I've already seen some songs that will end up much higher in my top 40 than in yours Nada!! I'll just name: My sweet prince, Taste in men and You don't care about us!

But that's kinda cool really, we are all three major Placebo-fans and still we like different songs :D!

oh and my prediction :P I think Black Eyed will end very high in your top 40. At least top 10, maybe even top 5.

You Don't Care About Us   One of their biggest singles but very ignored. :(

I predict 'Because I Want You' and 'Twenty Years' will be at least top 10 here. :P

  • Author

Yes, three top 40's and all very different! :cheer: I like that fact. :cheer:

I love predictions, but you'll see. :P

B-side from: You Don't Care About Us (Released: 28.09.98)

Fly like a plane, drive like a car, hold out your hand

Babe i'm gonna be your man

And it's plain to see you were meant for me, yeah

I'm your boy Your twentieth century toy

- It could be a b-side, but I don't care, I love it. I heard it not long time ago (thanks to Leefke :D ) and after second listening I love it. Album version is better then live I have heard. -_- Maybe if I'll make top 40 after some time, it wouldn't be that high, but now it is. -_-

http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p95/robfan1/27.jpg Blind

Album: Meds (2006)

You don't believe me, but you do this every time,

please don't drive me blind..please don't drive me blind..

Don't go and leave me,

and please don't drive me blind,

don't go and leave me,

and please don't drive me blind.

- Song which I didn't like at first, because I found it a big boring. After hearing it live, listening it more, and seeing some live videos from concerts I like it pretty much.

Live video: short fan video

Album: Meds (2006)

Leave me bleeding on the bed

See you right back here tomorrow for the next round

- Ballad which I like a lot.

Live video: Acoustic (video is perfect, Brian's voice - amazing. )

'Pierrot The Clown' is BEAUTIFUL.

The chorus on the studio version of 'Blind' can sometimes grate on me, prefer it live.

I totally agree. :D

B-side from: This Picture (Released: 16.06.03) - Pixies Cover

Your head will collapse

And there's nothing in it

And you'll ask yourself

Where is my mind

- I know it's a cover song and I don't like covers very much, but what I can do, I like this one very much. I first heard it live, then album version, and of course I like it more live. :P
