Posted March 29, 200718 yr Gwen Stefani performed for 37 Million people her newest single ''The Sweet Escape'' ft. Akon on the American Idol show last wednesday! After the performance Gwen said that Akon will be going with her on tour?? Will he be the special guest the whole tour? I'd love to have him as special guest in Holland! His album is awesome! Anyways, the performance rocked Watch it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LrpZnOt3thg
March 29, 200718 yr I dont think Gwen's support acts for outside of the US have been announced yet. I'd like Lady Sovereign to continue supporting her in Britain though, as I like Sovvy and seeing her live when I go to see Gwen would be awesome!

March 29, 200718 yr Akon will probably just be North America I'd say, he might make a couple of apperances somewhere else though like maybe London. I hope we don't get Lady Soverign here though, would be a major disappointment!
March 29, 200718 yr Yes, but not for Holland. She not known here at all. But surely, like in the US, thats the aiming of her support Gwen? To raise awareness of her music?!
March 29, 200718 yr But surely, like in the US, thats the aiming of her support Gwen? To raise awareness of her music?! All the concerts I have been to had supporting acts I've never heard of. When I saw Christina Aguilera we had Ms Dynamites brother, he was ok actually. When I saw Pink we had Mudbone, they were awful... worst people I've ever seen live. When I saw Amy Winehouse we had Mr Hudson and the Library, I really liked them and I've downloaded some of their stuff since, I might even buy their album. Ermmm, at Nelly Furtado we had UnkleJam, and they were okish. I supposed that raised awareness of them all.
March 29, 200718 yr Eh... bland performance. Her vocals weren't good, but the dancing was good. :D And it's not 37 million people. It's about 24 or so...
March 30, 200718 yr No, it really is like 35+ so 37 sounds about right. That show is sick over in the US! Everyone watches!
March 31, 200718 yr I loved the performance, and her vocals were good, she did a nice note at about 3.24
March 31, 200718 yr The first verse started out a bit shaky but after that, a brilliant vocal performance from Gwen! Good visually, too!
April 1, 200718 yr Oh Kelly :( Oh Ryan. :( I liked her Wind It Up performances that i've seen though. :D
April 1, 200718 yr I watched it, its was a great performance and great promo! the viewing figures for that show are MAD!
April 1, 200718 yr No, it really is like 35+ so 37 sounds about right. That show is sick over in the US! Everyone watches! First of all, not even the Tuesday shows get 30+million viewers. Only when they're auditioning or when it's the season (or close to) finale. Second of all, the Wednesday shows are rated not very highly (compared to the Tuesday shows) Here, believe me: 26,84 million people tuned in to see special guest Gwen Stefani and Sanjaya's fauxhawk at 8pm on FOX, with as many as 22,18 of them sticking around to watch "House" at 9:07 pm. Now that's what you call a well used lead-in.Those were the ratings for Tuesday's show. Usually a Wednesday show gets 23-24 million viewers, but the exact figures haven't benn posted at Televisionista. Even so, it's great publicity. I saw this and thought it was a terrible performance... :( Yay, someone agrees with me. ^_^
April 2, 200718 yr It was an ok performance, her vocals were shaky but overall it was good IMO. I wish she had strangled SANJAYA though, then she would have been perfect! I loved when she was talking about him and she said something along the lines of "He needs alot of work" Edited April 2, 200718 yr by Tyler

Second of all, the Wednesday shows are rated not very highly (compared to the Tuesday shows) Yeah, the REALLY big numbers start happening when you get to the final 4 or 5 because people start to rally for a contestant. the finale usually gets about 50-60 million viewers if I remember correctly?
