March 29, 200718 yr Radiohead for Starbucks? A spokesman for Radiohead was unavailable for comment. Hmmm, which leads me to believe this story is total bollox....

March 29, 200718 yr The coffee might perk them up a bit... (This kind of comment doesn't really help, does it! :( ) I really cant see Radiohead shifting to be honest, I mean, where they are just now grants them total and complete artistic freedom.... If anything Radiohead should really just eschew the whole 'record company' idea altogether and just go totally down the "Internet" road, they're in a position where they could do that - they have their own studio (so no studio fees, in fact they could even make a bit of money by renting it out to other bands), they have the fanatical fanbase, they have the artistic freedom, they only do a record when they want to.... They're in a position that a lot of bands would kill to be in...

March 30, 200718 yr Radiohead deny Starbucks rumours Friday, March 30 2007, 13:21 BST Digitalspy.com By Matt Houghton Radiohead have denied the rumours that they are to be the next major act to be signed by the Starbucks record label. The rumours started when someone from the band's management met with a representative from the Hear Music record company. However, the unlikely pairing has been categorically denied by a spokesman for the band. He said: "Radiohead are currently in the studio working on their next record. They are not negotiating a new record deal with anyone, and will not consider how to release their new music until the album is finished. "The rumour that they are about to sign with Starbucks is totally untrue."
March 30, 200718 yr Of course it's untrue...can you imagine it - with the exception of someone like Chumbawamba or Billy Bragg, I can't think of anyone less likely to sign with Megabucks Capitalist Coffee Co.
April 1, 200718 yr Author Of course it's untrue...can you imagine it - with the exception of someone like Chumbawamba ...who like Radiohead were also signed to 'Megabucks Capitalist' Capitol EMI records
