(excuse the link - Buzzjack's youtube code guides have disappeared...?)

Here's 'Drive' the new single from Client.... it's the follow-up to Zerox Machine, and it's another slice of perfect electropop.

Some awesome remixes, too.

PROPER Pop music this.... Actually written as opposed to manufactured.... There's certainly a hint of Ladytron and "Black Cherry"-era Goldfrapp in there....

the remixes are by the excellent Thomas Gold, Boosta, Eyerer and Lexy/K-Paul. The Thomas Gold one is just stunning.

Scott... definitely worth checking, cos I reckon you'll love it, is the Covenant remix of their last (brilliant) single Zerox Machine (my single of the year so far).

thats why this thread should be in the dance section:

The home for todays dance music. From Electronica greats Goldfrapp to Ladytron and techno / drum n bass madness Coburn to Pendulum. Discuss it all in here

not degraded by listing next to all the manufactured mainsteam stuff and utter $h!te. pop maybe be just shorthand for popular music but it does have connotations of evil production lines (to an extent every act will have stylists etcs but in post-idol times not so blatently obv)

and i think they would promoted to i-D rather than TOTP mag

In a way, you're right.. It's so unfortunate though that we dont seem to consider acts such as those as being Pop.. If any of these three acts had been around in the 1980s, they'd've been on the cover of "Smash Hits" along with the like of Human League and Duran Duran, no question... Now, in this dumbed-down age, we apparently have to come up with different definintions for acts who quite clearly ARE prime examples of the very, very BEST of British Pop music....

Not a fan of the City album but this and the other new clips from their web site sound great! I may have to buy Heartland
