I know she has a forum, but I wanted to post this in here :D

Beyonce has recently been recording in Spanish, and Oye [Listen] has just leaked, and it's alright :D Anyone heard any other Latin-Beyonce ?

I know, it's horrid

Oye is very good though :D Although one thing when beyonce sings in Spanish, it sounds like it isn't a lanquage at all, it's all muffed up

Amor Gitano is brilliant! I've been loving this for a while now since it first leaked.

My Spanish isn't all that great but I can tell that Beyoncé's Spanish on Imprescindible is pretty sh!t. And on Bello Embustero she says something like "el es un perro"

I'm enjoying her Spanish stuff though.

I really like the Spanish version of Irreplaceable, more than the English version I think.
I've just heard Oye(listen) and someone that knows good spanish made her a decent version. But her other spanish songs :puke2: like Ashley said Bello embustero aka beautiful liar is a MASSIVE joke in spanish, I mean it doesn't make sense

I havn't heard the spanish version of Beautiful Liar, but as long as Shakira sings in Spanish in it then I guess it's alright :P

Actually, Shakira doesn't even sing in the Spanish version of BL. It is Beyonce featuring SASHA (a.k.a. Beyonce).

Sasha is just an extension of her ego cuz it's that big  I love Beyoncé :D

time for analysis:

shakira has just started a trend with FO1 thats why beyonce is going for the latin market just like j-lo is now doing and next up nelly cause their record companies have seen how shakira is successful with it and can cross spanish music over to non spanish markets (which btw is a very difficult thing to do) but they see potential $$$ so they are going to go for it, i can't see any of them doing better than shakira she has a history in spanish music she writes in the language and tahts crucial it gives her credibilty and raises the bar high for all her peers

i think we'll see xtina and britney singing in spanish too but the problem is credibility whether all of them come across as authentic or just wanting $$$, the latin audience will reject it otherwise, i think nelly is the only one going about it the right way by writing songs in spanish first at least she'd doing it the proper way

but Xtina has already sung in spanish the songs Pero Me Acuerdo De Ti (more than beautiful song  ) and Genio Atrapado (Genie In The Bottle)
xtina's album was riding the wave of first latin explosion in 1999/2000 when ricky martin and enrique were making it big, but she never recorded a spanish album again cause the trend ended, but now its started up again spanish music is "in" but there is a crucial difference between xtina's latin album and shakira's FO1 and that is FO1 crossed over to non latin markets but xtina's album didn't, it wasn't a huge hit worldwide and didn't have any worldwide top 10 hits like "la tortura", now we are seeing j-lo doing the same after shakira which is trying to cross a spanish single around the world not just aim for the latin markets, i think if/when xtina makes a spanish album her record company will target the world with it like "la tortura"
