Posted April 16, 200619 yr There were loads of artists that came and went in the 70's,some were huge, some were awful, but some promised to deliver but for whatever reasons they fizzled out after 1 or 2 albums, or 3 or 4 singles. The following artists spring to mind with one of their hits, do you remember any of them, did you hate them or can you think of anymore. Argent - Hold your head up Badfinger - Come and get it Buzzcocks - Ever fallen in love Dr Feelgood - Milk and alcohol Eddie & Hotrods - Do anything you wanna do Korgis - Everybody's got to learn sometime Lindesfarne - Meet me on the corner Nazareth - Broken down angel
April 16, 200619 yr Buzzcocks - Ever fallen in love why is buzzcocks in the '70's bands that deserved more success, Who should have had a bigger & longer careers' section they only released a new album not so long ago! (cant say what their chart career was like in the 70s, not up to that episode on channel five yet   ) however i think they are critical acclaimed, always in uncut and things like that :o
April 17, 200619 yr rare bird..... scored a very bluesy minor hit in '70 'sympathy', should have had far more.... likewise from '70 the ides of march, whos only hit (#31) 'vehicle' is a classic piece of jazz/rock.. on the subject of 1970.... 'mr bloe' whos only hit 'groovin with mr bloe' was a superb track.
