"I'm just happy to be here and humbled," said the 28-year-old, who also hosted the award ceremony. Furtado's Loose album has sold around five million copies and earned her a Brit Award for best international female solo artist. Other winners at Sunday's show included the Dixie Chicks, who were given the best international album award. Toronto punk rockers Billy Talent claimed two prizes, best group and best rock album for Billy Talent II. But rapper K-os went home empty-handed, despite being nominated five times. During his performance of his song, he changed the lyrics to say "this show is propaganda". Furtado's awards included best album, fans' choice and best single for her duet with producer Timbaland, Promiscuous - a Candaian number one. She had already received artist of the year and pop album of the year at a gala dinner on Saturday. The singer, who was born in British Colombia to Portuguese-Azorean parents, performed a medley of her hits at the show. Producer Bob Rock was inducted into the Juno Hall of Fame for his work, which includes producing Metallica's Grammy-winning Black album.

April 2, 200718 yr SASKATOON (CP) - It didn't take Nelly Furtado long to make her mark on Sunday's Juno Awards. Flying like a bird, the singer descended upon the Juno Awards at Saskatoon's Credit Union Centre. The sexy songstress was dressed like a black bird as cables lowered her onto the stage - a nod to her debut hit "I'm Like A Bird." "That wasn't how I pictured it in my dream," she joked after a faulty landing. Action at the show started with rockers Billy Talent performing their hit "Devil in a Midnight Mass." The first award of the evening went to Jacksoul for R&B/soul recording of the year. So far, Nelly Furtado has captured the Juno fan choice award and the trophy for single of the year. "This is dedicated to all the Canadian artists," said the Victoria native accepting her trophy. "This is for everybody - old, new up-and-coming, legend." Returning to the stage for her second award Furtado said: "Thank you Canada for accepting me." The trophies brought her tally to four. Canada's "It" girl won trophies for artist of the year and pop album of the year on Saturday night, at a pre-Juno gala dinner
