October 12, 200717 yr Thanx for the info Carole, Just watched, yet again, the "Aloha" performance and Elvis seems to love performing the track. Don't quote me but I think I read somewhere that "Burning Love" is looked upon as a 1970's version of "A Big Hunk 'O Love". I DO see what they were getting at but I'm biased and love both tracks equally!! :yahoo: Gonna have to watch "Burning Love" again now! And I swore I would spend time working today and not getting lost in fab music and nostalgia!!

And I swore I would spend time working today and not getting lost in fab music and nostalgia!! Hey, there's nothing wrong with nostalgia when it's quality stuff like Elvis :cheer: Being an Elvis fan, it's also fantastic when they release some previously unseen footage with audio or when we get to hear the studio outtakes on the FTD releases. We really are so fortunate that 30 years after his death, we are still being treated to new stuff, whether it be audio, video clips or photos  Oh and yes, Ian, I love Burning Love too :yahoo:
October 13, 200717 yr Hi Carole, I found a great mix of "Clean Up Your Own Backyard" on Youtube. Not sure how to put it on the site but if you do a youtube search: elvis - clean up your own backyard (remix) It's great, Elvis looks fantastic! How can anyone be so cool!! :o
October 13, 200717 yr Author Hi Ian! I'm having problems at the moment viewing YouTube clips as they keep pausing on me :( Not sure why that's happening, but I struggled through and you're right, it is a great remix :cheer: Ap9HLk4VHXQ
October 13, 200717 yr Hi Carole and Beautifulangel. Didn't know you were on. I'm only in library for another 15 mins or so. Glad you liked the mix! :yahoo:
October 13, 200717 yr Author Hi Ian! I just popped on and looks like I missed Lesley too  Not sure if you've seen them before, but here's a few more remixes that I liked  http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=50364
October 13, 200717 yr I have to go now....Damn library. :( I' ll be able to watch on Monday. Have a nice weekend. Me. :)
October 13, 200717 yr Author I have to go now....Damn library. :( I' ll be able to watch on Monday. Have a nice weekend. Me. :) :( You have a good weekend too and we'll catch up next week when you can enjoy watching those remixes and maybe, just maybe, we'll be celebrating a Top 10 :yahoo:
October 14, 200717 yr Author Well, A Big Hunk O'Love made it to #12  That's great news for Elvis I see that some posters on the site hate it when he makes the Top 20. The fact is, this particular song originally made #4 in the UK charts in 1959. How many songs released by the current artists will be in the Top 20 of the charts in 48 years time? The fact is, Elvis was a great artist, and 30 years after his death, has millions of fans throughout the world and is gaining new fans all the time :cheer:
October 15, 200717 yr Wow Big Hunk... made No.12! Elvis sold around the same this week (8894) as last week so it seems his position depends on the sales of the songs around 16-11. I you remember about 3 weeks ago he only missed No.11 by around 300 copies. Sales are so close at these positions every week. Looking forward to the next few weeks. If I Can Dream's out next week!!!! :cheer: Catcha later Me :) Edited October 15, 200717 yr by highlander69
October 16, 200717 yr Author One of the members on the 18s has just posted this :cheer: Whilst the singles may not be charting as high as we would like in the main chart at least Big Hunk O' Love is No 1. in the Vinyl Chart. This is the 9th week in a row Elvis has topped this chart, meaning that every single is this campaign has reached the top spot  Can't wait for next week so, for you Ian and all of us who love If I Can Dream  VEisdOzJ1LM
October 27, 200717 yr Author This is the complete package of the UK edition of "The King Of Rock And Roll - Elvis #1 Hit Performances" DVD http://www.elvisnews.com/Presentation/Func...w&item=9897 Looks like they're following on from The King CD artwork to tie all the releases together :cheer: And this new DVD is released on November 12th and is just £10.99 with free delivery from Play.com
October 28, 200717 yr Author Was hoping that 'If I Can Dream' would make higher than #17, however it's still a great result when you consider that the song was originally recorded 39 years ago for the '68 Comeback Special and in the aftermath of Martin Luther Kings' assassination B) The words of the song are still as relevant today as they were then and Elvis' passionate delivery make this a truly fantastic song  VEisdOzJ1LM
October 28, 200717 yr Wonderful song, Carole. Never tiring of hearing any songs, particulary that one :yahoo:
