November 30, 200717 yr I so agree, Ian. I'll be honest, I don't bother with Radio 1 these days because of their attitude towards playing Elvis  I like a lot of the current artists but would rather listen to a Radio station that plays not only the new stuff, but music by the likes of Elvis and others too! What we want to hear, not just what they think we should listen to B) It's so true Carole. I've almost given up on music radio. I listen to Talk Sport (When they're not actually talkin' sport....the political stuff's great) and Talk 107 ( A scottish talk station which broadcasts to Central Scotland)! At least you get some great debates!! :D Oh "Burning love"...the last release!! I'm sure it'll go Top 20 a week on Sunday!

December 1, 200717 yr Just need two more Top 20's to make it a complete set of 18  The only downer is I think "Heartbreak Hotel" wasn't elligable for the chart as it came with the box!!
December 1, 200717 yr Author The only downer is I think "Heartbreak Hotel" wasn't elligable for the chart as it came with the box!! Of course, I forgot that, Ian  Never mind, Heartbreak Hotel would definately have gone Top 20 if it had been released like the others, so I'm still going to count it :yahoo:
December 3, 200717 yr Wow, "An American Trilogy" went in at No.12! All set for an easy Top 20 for "Burning Love" next week! :cheer:
December 8, 200717 yr "Burning Love" looking good for another high entry for Elvis on Sunday. I'm judging this on the Friday chart updates. By Friday, Elvis has usually slipped to provisional Top 15 and for a couple of releases this has meant an official peak just outside the Top 15. Last week, "An American Trilogy" was still provisional Top 10 on Friday and ended up finishing an amazing 12!! "Burning Love" is also still sitting provisional Top 10 on the Friday update!! Fingers and toes crossed!!! Edited December 8, 200717 yr by highlander69
December 9, 200717 yr Author The re-issue of "Burning Love" ends the 2007 UK Singles Campaign; the single is a new entry at #13 on the U.K. Top 40 this week :yahoo: Would have loved to have finished on a Top 10, but realistically, considering everything we've been up against, this is a great result! 2007 and Elvis has had 17 more Top 20 singles He's shown everyone that the name given to him, the King, was so apt! Not that we ever thought otherwise B)

Source: EIN Not bad, eh :yahoo: :cheer: Hi Carole, How great was that chart run over the last 4 months!! :yahoo: You can also add "My Baby Left Me" which was released as an "HMV only" limited edition (although not part of the boxed set). It was released, I think, somewhere between "Suspicious Minds" and "Blue Suede Shoes". I was lucky to get my copy at the time! It's chart run was: 19-67 So we DID actually have 18 consecutive Top 20's!!!

This is on basis that it took nearly 52 years from the time it was recorded, to be a hit. This is the longest time it took for a track to become a hit.
