Kanye West is no favourite rapper, okay he has an ego the size of China, but still it just adds to his personality and he's definiltey one of the best rappers out there at the moment even if there isn't that much competition.

I've not heard much British hip-hop but from what i've heard it's quite good. Dizzee Rascal is very good at what he does but he doesn't get that much praise even though he's FAR better than people like 50 Cent and his lyrics mean something and aren't all about going to a candy shop or shooting some person.

Exactly, 50 Cent musically is p*** poor but it's all about image and who can afford the most expensive videos

It seems good though, that British people are searching for deeper, credible music (Arctic Monkeys) I can only think of Girls Aloud as the only traditionally manufactured UK act troubling the charts at the moment.

But we'll end up with a saturated market of indie bands that 90% sound the same, ready for some other genre to make it's move

50 Cent has to be one of the worst rappers ever. I don't see what his appeal is at all to be honest. Maybe it's just because he can afford the right money for promotion and everything but i'm really hoping he flops when he returns very soon.

The thing is with music at the moment is when Indie bands like Arctic Monkeys, Razorlight etc etc break through to the mainstream record companies think they can make a bit of money by signing a band that's similar to them so they catch on to the bandwagon. It gives the genre a bad name as they'll just sign anything that they think can break through to the mainstream however poor they may be. -_-

I agree with his views on Hip-Hop but i love Mark Ronson's version of Stop Me :o And on Radio 1, for me personally, most of the stuff they play is quality ^_^

Stop Me is good but i'm a little bored of it at the minute. But his album has leaked so i'll be giving a listen to that later as it looks brilliant. ^_^
