Oh indeed, it's all about people's preference when it comes to a singers voice. For instance, Mariah Carey is technically meant to be the best singer ever, but personally I'd rather listen to nails against a blackboards. I find Gary's voice too cold for my liking, others don't like Robbie's voice. Everyone has a different view on the matter. But I definatly agree that people don't give Robbie enough credit when it comes to his voice, I addmitidly was one of them, but once I watched his amazing performance at the Royal Albert Hall at his Swing concert, I was more than proved wrong as were so many others, especially when he performed 'My Way', I was quite suprised he had such a great voice at the time. And it's so versitile as well, he can sing any type of song and pull it off, weather it be high pitched like Lovelight or really deep like the likes of 'One For My Baby', and then fo course he can just do the normal pop voice for normal songs like Millenium etc and then rock with such songs as Let Me Entertain you. That's why I love his voice personally. ^_^

I agree. Robbie has an amazing voice IMO. He deserves to be Britain's number one. I think he is under-rated as a singer, because of his tabloid escapades and showmanship overshadow his talent in many people's eyes (or ears). His voice has a purity and versitilty Gary's lacks. Gary's voice can be a bit bland. He really needs backing singers for most his songs. Forever Love was Gary at his finest. But Patience and his duet with Leona show how he has worked on his voice.

How could I criticise the voice of the man behind such classics as Karma Killer and Me and My Monkey! Robbie is a genius.

robbie for me is an average singer but a brilliant performer

I suggest you watch his Swing concert, specifically his performance of 'My Way', anything but average mate. Even I was shocked at the time. When he performs usually he is running around the stage etc, so is never able to show his vocals off properly, but at the Swing gig he did and it was outstanding. He has one of the most distinctive and versitile voices I've ever hear to be perfectly honest.

Not to mention Mr Bojangles. Best version since Sammy Davis Junior. Then look at such classics as the Road to Mandalay. If he was an unknown, how could he not win X-factor, with his rare talent and performing charisma?

but imo gary isnt anywhere near as good, he is supported by the other three so really he doesnt do as much work as robbie
