Bloody Hell!!! Why cant ours have more contestants like this (or indeed, any).....

Ari Koivunen singing Whitesnake's "Here I Go Again"

The Finns sure have good taste in music, they send out Lordi to Eurovision (and win), and now their version of "Pop Idol" has a Metal singer..... Plus all the Finnish bands that get famous out of their own country seem to be all Rock bands - HIM, Nightwish, Rasmus, 69 Eyes, Sentenced, Hanoi Rocks....

GO SUOMI!!!! :yahoo:

Blimey, she's a bit like Kelly Clarkson, only.... GOOD.....

20 years ago that song would've been done by someone like Stevie Nicks, Lita Ford, T'Pau or Heart....

If she's representing Finland in Eurovision this year, well, I reckon I might just be supporting Finland again.... :cheer:

Is this Finland's actual Eurovision song....?

Yep, i think Finland deserve to win again this year lol with that song.

Ive got her new album which is brilliant to, she was good on the Finnish Pop Idol in 2004 when she won

This is the song she won Finnish Idol with, it wasnt a very good performance but she won :D

This was her last single of her new album, which has done well in Finland to

Well, I mean, doing Brian Adams is never really advised is it....?

But the solo stuff you've embedded on here (especially the first one, which wouldn't sound all that out of place on the new albums by Evanescence or Within Temptation....) certainly puts her in a higher class than anyone who's ever won or come runner-up in a "Pop Idol" or an "X-Factor" type thing in this country... And, I reckon she's much better than Kelly Clarkson.... Amazing place Finland, they even manage to create Manufactured Pop Stars with a fair bit of musical credibility and artistic worth....

Not only that, but quite an attractive lady as well....

How the hell do I get the "Lovers" album, I got a feeling that's the one I'm gonna like the most out of the three she's done....? Neither Play.com nor Amazon are any bloody help.... She's on bloody Sony/BMG ffs, why is it so hard to get her stuff over here...?

I think the 2004 winner seems to be a bettersiner, but in my opinion, kelly clarkson is still the more powerful singer of the 3, and she writes her own music.. she also struggled for many years trying to get know. She is more credible than people like to believe :(
I quite like Leave Me Alone by Hannah Pakarinen, but I can't see it doing very well at Eurovision this year. :(

Sorry, but I just cant stand her.... She's just, I dunno, too American.... I just find her irritating tbh, I;ve never really been huge on that whole AOR thing, apart from a few exceptions such as Heart, Stevie Nicks and one or two others... Hanna, while certainly influenced by American music, definitely is more European.... in her sound... And I would think that she writes all her own material as well....

Well, it sure beats the sh!t out of Scooch's pile of utter drivel.... And it just shows that while we choose to send joke acts, the Finns are actually sending a proper artist with a few albums behind her....

Theres a shop thing on her site but i dont understand a word of it lol: http://www.hanna-pakarinen.com/en/

I downloaded it because i had been waiting for it for ages and had the same problem of not being able to find it, so downloaded it lol :arrr:

She is much better than Kelly Clarkson, whos way to overrated for the average songs shes done. The only very good songs from her

were 'Behind These Hazel Eyes' and 'Low', Hanna Pakarinen has lots of good songs on her album, her music is more proper rock

then Kelly Clarkson which is more pop/rock.

I quite like Leave Me Alone by Hannah Pakarinen, but I can't see it doing very well at Eurovision this year. :(

It will be doing much better than the worst eurovision song the UK have ever done

Cyndi should of been sent but even that song wouldnt of won -_-

Im not really sure who has the better voice, but Hanna Pakarinen has a much stronger and more powerful voice.

I agree kelly is too american, her speaking voice, is very annoying but she can sing very well but i do see your point

Hanna Pakarinen the winner of it from a few years ago is amazing,

I stumbeled upon her a few weeks ago - and have been obsessed with her ever since!

She covered one of my bands FAVORITE songs too 'Falling Again'

Hanna Pakarinen the winner of it from a few years ago is amazing,

Her latest song representing Finland this year in Eurovision

...and the UK public (those who voted for them) expect the rubbish SCOOCH to win :puke2: :puke2:

Cyndi would have been the only one to even get a sniff of the winning post.
