What a fabulous choice. :cheer: The Ultimate Review Confessions On A Dance Floor is one of Madonna's greatest albums. It is driven away from her previous albums of religion or polotics. The Confessions album has a very well worked sound, nice melodies, a electronic sound with many influencec of dance and club music. The disco theme is main and best feature of the album with 70's disco classics mixed for the latest generation like "Hung Up" featuring ABBA's "Gimmie Gimmie Gimmie (A Man After Midnight)", Sorry which contains the intro of Jackson 5's "Can You Feel It", "Future Lovers" which has terrific sample of Donna Summer's "I Feel Love" and "Jump" which has a melody of "It's A Sin" from the Pet Shop Boys :D In spite of being a dance pop album, the songs are not cheesy or senseless, on the contrary they have a very deep sound and meaningful lyrics like Forbidden Love or Issac. In this review it will refer to the album having alot of genres like pop, dance and disco, theres also some other genres that are included such as retro and old school. infact you could almost say it has the escence of every Madonna album made but mainly 80's pop music from "Like A Prayer" "Madonna" and "Like A Virgin". Remixes is another main key of this album, the singles are filled with remixes from the PSBs, Paper Face and Thin White Duke. Like all Madonna albums it showed a new face of Madonna, the 48 year old shows that even a mother can wear a liatard or be disco queen. Buzzjacker are quite impressed with the direction of Madonna. It's basically a catchy, jumpy energetic album with different sounds in all the songs. However all albums have there bad points and being Madonna there are a few  Songs like "Hung Up" can loose there sparkle as being played to much on the radio, Sorry which which can annoy the listener as the repeat of "I Heard It All Before" can put people of. Buzzjackers have said some of the songs don't fit at the rest of album, main complained tracks are "I Love New York" whcih has been classed as embarrasing, "Issac" which has the most haunting sound from the rest album and final track "Like It Or Not" doesn't really show the best of her vocal talents. But in all of that the Madonna album is solid gold :o B) During the entire era people have enjoyed the costumes, artwork and live preformances. You also loved that Madonna had made a super great massive comeback after the flop of American Life and it's singles. Speaking of singles all the singles have great remixes, when you think the pop tracks couldn't get anymore of electronic sound the remixes just burst out with some fab remixes plus also Madonna gets time to make a B-Side for Jump called "History" which has a simple tune but the choice and time of the singles could have been better. But the Confessions era really was a fabulous era. ULTIMATE VIDEO FROM COADF Rk9V9YR34po Of corse, Hung Up would win the ultimate video. Hung Up was filmed during the healing of Madonna's incident with the horse earlier that year, she mainly lived on pain killers for the entire video, The video is true pop at it's best with dancing and a bit of a plot of Madonna going to a club and "Boogie Woogie" The look insational with her fire red hair and her pink liatard B) And the dance moves that any one would love to learn. And another fabulous victory as it pics the best Live song of the era, with guests of the Gorillaz. Hung Up is gonna be a true classic SrVB5BniFs8 Live At The Grammy's... Ladies and Gentlemen I give you Madonna :yahoo: :cheer: :yahoo: :cheer: :yahoo: :cheer: I would love to thank everyone who took part, And I hope you agree with the review  Edited April 16, 200718 yr by Pichu

April 9, 200718 yr :cheer: Great idea :yahoo: Favorite Song On The Album Forbidden Love Rank The Songs On The Album 01. Forbidden Love 02. Push 03. Get Together 04. Future Lovers 05. Hung Up 06. Let It Will Be 07. Jump 08. Fighting Spirit 09. Super Pop 10. Sorry What Do You Like From The Album? I love the sounds of the album, cause it mixes dancefloor fillers with experimental and electronic sounds and a lot of disco music. In spite of being a dance pop album, the songs are not cheesy or senseless, on the contrary they have a very deep sound and meaningful lyrics (except for "I Love New York", of course, which is quite stupid in my opinion). What did you like the most about this era? I love the fact that Madonna came back to what she does best: entertain with great dance pop music. After "American Life", which was full of ballads and controversy (I don't complain, I like that album as well) we needed something fresh and up to date, and Madonna (of course) never failed to deliver. What Do You Dislike From The Album This is not something I dislike right now, but when I first bought the album, I didn't feel any strong track apart from "Get Together" and the back then current single "Hung Up" on first listen... but the songs managed to grow on me a lot soon after. Now my favourite songs are the non-released album tracks bar a few exceptions ("I Love New York"/"Like It Or Not"). Fave Video From The Album "Get Together"... I think it's the most original out of them all. "Jump" is a close second, though. Favorite Preformance From The Era "Feel Good Inc./Hung Up" with Gorillaz at the 2006 Grammy Awards. It was full of energy and it mixed two great dance tracks.
April 9, 200718 yr 01. Get Together 02. Let It Will Be 03. How High 04. Jump 05. Sorry 06. Forbidden Love 07. Future Lovers 08. Hung Up 09. Push 10. Like It Or Not 11. I Love New York 12. Isaac The top 4 on my list are all my joint faves, absolutely love them, Let It Will be is just  Theres not a single filler track on the album, I love all 12, one of the best albums I own, and amazing how every song just flows into the next  The Reinvention tour mix of ILNY is better than the Confessions version, however. My fave video from the era is Sorry and my fave Performance is Get Together when she did Parkinson. Edited April 14, 200718 yr by Jark
April 10, 200718 yr Favorite Song on the album This is hard but i'm gonna go for 'Sorry' Rank the songs on the album 01 Sorry 02 Jump 03 Hung Up 04 Like it or Not 05 Forbidden Love 06 Push 07 Get Together 08 Let it will Be 09 Future Lovers 10 How High 11 Isaac 12 I Love NY What do you like about this album I guess i love the mood, retro, old skool disco reinvented for modern times! Its the soundtrack to my everyday life. Throughout the whole CD; Its just purely classic Madonna through and through! Jump is reminicent of 1989's Keep it Together and perfect companion to Nothing really Matters, Sorry's a throw back to the pet shop boys and Hung Up proves Madonna's pop genius of marrying old and new sounds and remain cutting edge! This is what i love about the album then, that its just a collection of incredible sounds that bring back to life the likes of Donna Summer, Pet shop boys and even vintage Madonna herself! What did you like the most about this era That Madonna came back and kicked everyone's arse after they wrote her off during American Life! Madonna was back at making mainstream, 'Madonna' style pop music, she simply defied gravity and the whole 70's revisitng put us back on the dance floor! :) What did you dislike the most about this era I'm most fond of this era thank u very much :) Favorite Video from the album Hung Up Favorite perfomance from the era Hung Up @ the 2006 Grammy Awards

What did you like the most about this era - I'd say opened me up to Madonna more. I already really liked her, but it made me discover more. What did you dislike the most about this era - I can't think of anything major offhand, so I'll just say the timing of the singles, they could have done with being a bit closer together. April 15, 200718 yr Favorite Song on the album 'Jump' Rank the songs on the album 01 Jump 02 Sorry 03 Hung Up 04 Push 05 I Love NY 06 Let it will Be 07 Like it or Not 08 How High 09 Forbidden Love 10 Get Together 11 Future Lovers 12 Isaac What do you like about this album It is a great dance album, that sounds good when it is playing and only possesses one dud (Isaac) What did you like the most about this era Madonna coming back huge after being written off after the criminally underrated American Life album. What did you dislike the most about this era I think the album is rather lightweight. It lacks the depth that American Life has and will not pass the test of time as well as Like A Prayer or Ray Of Light has done, as musically I think it will date badly in 10 years time. Favourite Video from the album Hung Up Favourite perfomance from the era Hung Up @ the 2006 Grammy Awards PS. This is a great thread.
