April 12, 200718 yr Author Right, I am officially starting my countdown!!! 30 Sugababes Taller In More Ways 2005 http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/CIDX8162.JPG The Sugababes' 4th studio album is the only one of theirs' in my collection, but its well worth having! Lead single Push The Button is a slick, sexy uptempo pop track which opens the album in great fashion and Follow Me Home, a slower affair featuring newest band member Amelle, is an early standout. Download: Bruised Best Of The Rest: Push The Button, Follow Me Home, Red Dress, Obsession Avoid: None! Edited April 12, 200718 yr by Jark
April 12, 200718 yr Author 29 Kylie Light Years 2000 http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/5284002.JPG Light Years propelled Kylie back into the public eye and for good reason; the Oz minx's new status as queen of dance-pop was a result of lead single Spinning Around, which kicks Light Years off at a fast paced maintained for much of the album. Second single On A Night Like This steals all the limelight and is easily the best track here, a beautiful mid-tempo number with an equally stunning video. From the 14-track cut, only one or two - the lame Koocachoo in particular - let Light Years down, whilst the closing title track is a hypnotic dabble in space-age electronica. Download: On A Night Like This Best Of The Rest: Spinning Around, So Now Goodbye, Disco Down, Your Disco Needs You, Please Stay, Kids, Light Years Avoid: Koocachoo Edited April 12, 200718 yr by Jark
April 12, 200718 yr Author 28 Dannii Minogue The Hits & Beyond 2006 http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/9840363.JPG Dannii Minogue has spent much of her career enduring tedious comparisons to her more successful older sister Kylie, but she finally stepped into the limelight in 2003 with her hit album Neon Nights. Hoping to continue this success having moved to new label AATW, she released her best material yet - the stunning singles You Wont Forget About Me, Perfection and So Under Pressure, accompanied by three equally lavish videos. The success might not have stayed with her for long but her talent has; this underrated hits compilation is full of gems. Download: You Wont Forget About Me Best Of The Rest: I Begin To Wonder, So Under Pressure, All I Wanna Do, Disrememberance, Perfection, Who Do You Love Now?, Love Fight, Sunrise, Good Times Avoid: $ucce$$
April 12, 200718 yr Author I have none of these albums but i do like the Sugababes ^_^ Loads of them are like £2.99 on HMV  bargains!!
April 12, 200718 yr Author 27 Aaliyah Aaliyah 2001 http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/SDPCD190.JPG Aaliyah was an incredibly beautiful, talented lady with a purring voice that sadly, the world did not get to her more of, since she died in 2001. However, her last album is a masterpiece, bursting with dark gems that would not sound out of place on a greatest hits. U Got Nerve finds Aaliyah mocking a man in her life and asking 'who do you think you are?', whilst the classic More Than A Woman sees her confidently telling that shes 'more than enough for you'. Its a shame we never got to hear more from an artist continually progressing, but she was at her prime with the self-titled Aaliyah. Download: More Than A Woman Best Of The Rest: Loose Rap, Rock The Boat, I Care 4 U, Extra Smooth, U Got Nerve, I Refuse, Try Again Avoid: None
April 12, 200718 yr Author 26 Melanie C This Time 2007 http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/MELCTHIS.JPG Melanie Chisholm's 4th studio album, This Time, is a triumphant return to her days as a rock-pop solo artist, having previously left that genre with 2005's darker Beautiful Intentions. It's the sound that best suits her distinctive voice, and from the minute opener Understand begins, its clear that this will be quite a listening experience. After a couple of ballads, the softly sung What If I Stay and the slick Protected, pop returns in full force with title track This Time, a catchy number which will float through your mind for days after just a couple of listens. Carolyna has drawn comparisons with the Red Hot Chili Peppers brand of music, and its the album's highlight. This is Melanie's best outing since 2003's Reason. Download: Carolyna Best Of The Rest: Understand, This Time, The Moment You Believe, Forever Again, Your Mistake, Out Of Time Avoid: The very suggestion! :o
April 12, 200718 yr Author 25 Mary J Blige Reflections (A Retrospective) 2006 http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/PRERELCDBLIGE.JPG Not many greatest hits are really what they are cracked up to be; 3 albums of each with 3 or 4 top 20 singles, a couple of new tracks added, and then a so-called 'greatest hits' appears on the shelves. This is not the case with Mary J Blige; the woman who sports soul's finest voice of the late 20th and early 21st centuries gives us this collection of true hits. New tracks I Remember and We Ride are right up their with the best of her classics, and the decision to include lesser-known gems such as 911 with Wyclef is truly inspired. If you only buy one greatest hits this year, this may well deserve to be it. Download: 911 (featuring Wyclef) Best Of The Rest: I Remember, We Ride, King & Queen, No More Drama, Family Affair, Real Love, No One Will Do, Be Without You, As, One, MJB da MVP Avoid: You're All I Need To Get By featuring Method Man Edited April 12, 200718 yr by Jark

April 12, 200718 yr Author 24 Anastacia Freak Of Nature 2001 http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/6731112.JPG Brits like to call Americans stupid. Whilst this is on the whole not the case, they are daft in failing to recognise that Anastacia is a true modern-day legend. Her voice is simply unmatched and her beautiful, graceful looks and catchy, soulful songs combine to ignite a fire in our hearts; we buy her albums by the hundreds of thousands. Freak Of Nature, the title track and album opener sees our Ana on top form as our 'midnight angel' and single Paid My Dues is a brilliant, soulful effort that deserves to be a future classic. This also has the distinction of being Anastacia's only studio album without two obligitary filler tracks plonked unnecessarily on the end, so part ways with a measly £3 and pick it up from HMV now! Download: How Come The World Wont Stop Best Of The Rest: Freak Of Nature, Paid My Dues, Overdue Goodbye, One Day In Your Life, Dontcha Wanna, Dont Stop Doin It Avoid: None :)

April 12, 200718 yr Author 23 Jennifer Lopez This Is Me Then 2002 http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/5101282.JPG Given the uptempo-ness of her previous, blinged-up album J.Lo, you might expect Jennifer Lopez' third, 2002 offering This Is Me Then to continue with the successful formula. It is ditched, however, to make way for some softer tunes and ballads, which perfectly suit Jenny Lo's cute, if slightly limited vocal range. All I Have, a collaberation with LL Cool J, is a slick R&B slow jam, in which a relationship between our two vocalists comes to an end - cockyness on LL's part ('It makes the Cat nervous, the thought of settling down') ensures that. You Belong To Me shows Lopez' vulnerable side, as she appeals to her lover, 'tell her, tell her you belong to me!'. Everything on this record is well arranged and with the exception of the inexcusable Dear Ben, written as a tribute to her then-love for Ben Affleck, this is a decent album and by far the best yet from diva Lopez. Download: Im Glad Best Of The Rest: Still, The One, All I Have, Jenny From The Block, Again, You Belong To Me, Baby I Love You Avoid: Dear Ben
April 12, 200718 yr Author I have none of these so far :( Youre missing out! I'd definitely recommend picking one or two of them up, for just two or three quid!
April 12, 200718 yr Author 22 Beverley Knight Affirmation 2004 http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/BEV4733102.JPG Critics of Affirmation will tell you that British soul legend Beverley Knight has turned her back on R&B in an attempt to corner the more mainstream market for pop. This, however, could not be further from the truth; the majority of the tracks on this, Bev's 4th studio album, are of the rhythm and bluesy variety that she and we are used to. Come As You Are is a stonking uptempo number that leaves you in no doubt Beverley is not just a one-trick pony. Keep This Fire Burning successfully turns a good Robyn song into a brilliant, more R&B rendition and Till I See Ya is by far the best on this set; it would have closed the album in fine style, were it not for the two blander tracks plonked so unelegantly on the end. Download: Till I See Ya Best Of The Rest: Come As You Are, First Time, Straight Jacket, Keep This Fire Burning, Supasonic, Tea & Sympathy, Under The Same Sun Avoid: Salvador, Remember Me Edited April 12, 200718 yr by Jark
