My album review:

Introducing Joss Stone [My Review + Download]

Introducing Joss Stone is Joss's newest album which is doing very well in the charts! I'm going to see Joss in concert, July 11th in Holland. Today I bought this cd, tho I already knew it of course! In my opinion this is definitely her best cd out of the 3 * have them all * so I'm going to tell something about every song!

01. Change [Vinnie Jones Intro]

I love the Vinnie Jones voice, it's very interesting! I actually don't really know why Joss used him for this but I have to say that it's a good idea!

02. Girl, They Won't Believe It

First I didn't really noticed this song on the album, I guess I liked it. After I saw her showcase in Holland on television I was completely in love with this song. It's an umtempo song with just a special touch!

03. Headturner

Lol, same goes with Headturner as with Girl, They Won't Believe It. When I heard the song for the first few times I actually thought Joss was singing 'Hips Turner', but after reading the song title it was quiet different lol. I really like this song but not a highlight on the album!

04. Tell Me 'Bout It

This is definitely one of my favos on the album, the beginning is awesome and so is the breakdown in the middle. I do think the song is a bit short but still awesome. I did'not even talk about the video clip, I mean, It's just awesome.

05. Tell Me What We're gonna Do Now Ft. Common

I love this track, one of my favos too! This is going to be the second single of the album and the video is already shot. The song would've been gorgeous with only Joss but Common adds this special thing, like it!

06. Put Your Hands On Me

I think this song is going to be a single too, I absolutely love the track so I don't mind. I do really think that this song is very simalar to Tell Me 'Bout It, it just really reminds me of that song.

07. Music Ft. Lauren Hill

And again at the beginning I didn't really liked this song too much, I thought it was boring but I changed my mind. At the moment I really love this song tho I don't hope this is going to be a single cause not many people will like it.

08. Arms Of My Baby

First of all, I think the song is really cute, just listen to the lyrics! I love this song, I don't know how to describe it but Joss is doing this special thing with her voice in the song * as in Put Your Hands On Me * that's what I like so much.

09. Bad Habit

I think this is just an average Joss song, nothing special neither bad. It's more a bit boring, anyways still a good listen!

10. Proper Nice

When I see this title, I don't know how the song is going and that's not a good sign. Anyways I pressed play and when I heard '' Catch me Catch Me I'm Falling'' I immidiatly know how the song is going, I like it tho nothing special otherwise I would know how it's going.

11. Bruised But Not Broken

The one & only song on the album that's not written neither co-written by Joss herself but by Dionne Warren. I have to say that I like the song but I don't have to hear it much more or I won't like it anymore. I don't hope this is going to be a single but Ã'm afraid it's gonna be.. we'll see!

12. Baby, Baby, Baby

This is my favorite Joss Stone song, it just catches my attention and It wants me to sing along! Just listen and you'll know what I mean * Or is it only me? *

13. What Were We Thinking

Gorgeous real ballad on the album. I really like it but don't hav emuch to say about this one.

14. Music [Outro]

Nice ''song'' to end the album and a good choice. Especially the last part is very cute and funny!

Over all this is one of my favorite albums from 2007 so far, yours too?

Joss Stone's spectacular fall from grace couldnt have come at a worse time; just as she prepared to launch her third album, Introducing Joss Stone, a ton of unnecessary fell heavy on her head, merely because she donned an American accent and sung a snippet of Rehab on stage at the Brit Awards. But, forgetting politics, is Introducing actually an album worthy of he success she has been so used to?

The album kicks off in the worst possible way, with former footballer and minor celebrity Vinnie Jones' disgusting vocal tones gracing the intro, in which he informs us of 'change', as though we might bother taking notes. Quite why Joss, who claims to have been in control of the production and putting together of her third record, allowed this to make the final cut (or even the initial one) is the kind of mind-blowing question we will never know the answer to. What is certain, however, is that things can only get better from here. And they do. Girl They Wont Believe It is an uptempo number perfectly suited to a lazy day by the pool in Summer, and Headturner is better still, possessing a true, feel-good vibe.

Next comes lead single Tell Me Bout It, which despite an undesirable chart performance is a truly magnificent soul number. What follows, Tell Me What We Gonna Do Now, is the highlight of the entire piece; the first time Stone gets to use her vocals to the best of her huge ability, and rapper Common's contribution ensures that the song is a warm, soulful anthem.

Whilst this shows how Joss can pick the best contributors to work with, she's not always spot on; Music is a lazy, near-monotone track which is just made worse by Lauryn Hill's list-like rap. However, things get better again; Put Your Hands On Me is another upbeat number which shows off just how well Joss does summer anthems, and Arms Of My Baby is an easy-listening mid-tempo effort - when Stone sings about her man ('Ive been...pleasing the world, but neglecting him'), we really get the impression that she means it. Few albums are devoir of filler, What Were We Thinking being a prime example of how to get through an entire song without any hint of passion or excitement, but eleven of the songs on this fourteen-piece set showcase the best of Joss' wonderful ability, and for that reason, Joss' third album deserves nothing less than a full five stars.

O lol, I see mine's already here.. :)

I can review it in two words
