May 18, 200718 yr You go to bed after a day in Ireland with all these Irish voices spinning round in your head cuz they talk so much. Quite a surreal feeling!
May 19, 200718 yr Author Good, let them talk..it sounds like a dream to me. Last night when I was listening to Amarantine, I saw every song in a different light..it was an amazing feeling. Whoever said Amarantine isn't up to par is crazy. :P Edited May 19, 200718 yr by On Your Shore
May 20, 200718 yr Lucky you, David! B) I've heard the Irish love to talk too, so I guess it must be true. My Dad has lots of Irish ancestry, and he talks and talks and talks, then talks some more. After a while, you feel like this:   Ooh, yes, you'r right. Amarantine really is awesome, it's been growing on me lately. Edited May 20, 200718 yr by grace
May 20, 200718 yr Yes. They talk LOADS. You end up just "mmm"ing at them a lot of the time, in the vague hope that they'll shut up. That's a very stereotypical view though; not all are like that.
May 20, 200718 yr Author I wouldn't want them to shut up..I love the way they talk. I have said that I would like to sit and listen to an Irishman talking all day..especially if they are from Dublin or Cork.
May 20, 200718 yr They aren't I'm afraid, no. :( One is getting married in November. :D I'm rather looking forward to the wedding.
May 21, 200718 yr I listened to quite a few of my least fave songs... in fact I've listened to the whole albums of The Celts, Shepherd Moons, The Memory of Trees, A Day Without Rain and Amarantine today! I will have to put Watermark on soon to complete the collection. I was revising at school for four hours and listening to Enya helped me work muchly. ^_^
May 22, 200718 yr Author What is "revising?" I listened to A Day Without Rain and Amarantine recently..also Watermark, of course. I want to listen to SM now.
May 22, 200718 yr They aren't I'm afraid, no. :( One is getting married in November. :D I'm rather looking forward to the wedding. Weddings are... very delicate occasions. If you can steer clear of the bride's mother and other female relatives, you can do fine, but if you're part of the wedding, you're sunk. Everyone's emotional, the caterer is always late or vanished, some flower girl has a tantrum, and on and on. If I ever get married, I'm going to the justice of the peace. -_- But if you're just a guest, they can be enjoyable. :funky: Cake, all those nice little sandwiches they always have, and punch. :D And then watching all the bride's maids sweating in their hideous dress, and being glad you're not them. :teresa:
May 22, 200718 yr Revising... going over work for exams. :funky: And yeah, being a guest at weddings is good. :D
May 22, 200718 yr Author  I was a bridesmaid in my best friend's wedding..my dress wasn't that bad. :) The only thing that went wrong at the wedding really was that I was sitting alone, bored to tears since everyone was going all over..I didn't know many people and I'm shy, so socializing isn't at the top of my list. -_- I tried listening to more Enya songs last night..what does everyone think about Midnight Blue? I think it's rather short and it doesn't really have much of an impact on me..nothing notable, sadly. I also played Marble Halls..I don't know why I don't care for that song because the lyrics are nice and the way she sings it is nice..it just doesn't have that overall appeal like Ebudae or Caribbean Blue has for me. Or the Watermark album as a whole. Edited May 22, 200718 yr by On Your Shore
May 22, 200718 yr Midnight Blue is very mediocre. I did listen to Oriel Window though today on the bus, and absolutely loved it. ^_^
May 22, 200718 yr Author Why, David? Its greatness captured me right away. :) But then again, I'm talking to someone that isn't fully captured by the greatness of Ebudae. (I'm just playing) Edited May 22, 200718 yr by On Your Shore
May 22, 200718 yr Yes, I'm afraid you are. :( There are probably many more Enya gems that I haven't totally appreciated yet as well. :o
May 23, 200718 yr Author I know there are probably some..The River Sings, The Celts (lots of people like those, but they haven't hit me yet)
