April 26, 200718 yr Author Menace defeat LA Vale April 21, 2007 - Fans from all over the United States, including New York, Florida, Texas, Louisiana, and California just to name a few, watched from the bleachers as the Menace outscored the Vale 6 to 2. The Menace got on the board in the 13th minute as #9 Tanner Krause, just recently back home from Italy, found the back of the net on a great feed from #21 Tomas Boltnar. 10 minutes later Boltnar got on the scoring side of things as #12 Armin Mujdzic found him wide open and Boltnar did what he's been doing for the past 4 seasons. #11 Kevin Sauter, who was making his Menace exhibition debut scored the next two Menace goals. The first came in the 32nd minute and the 2nd goal came in the 36th minute. The halftime score was 5-0. The second half started the same way the first half went with #12 Mujdzic netting his only goal of the night in the 49th minute. #17 Corey Miller's blast in the 74th minute was the first goal in his Menace career. The LA Vale's #8 Seth Modersohn, a former Menace captain, got on the board in the games 86th minute. He followed his own shot and was able to smash it home to get the Vale on the board. Overall it was a great evening and a great game! Both teams stayed on the field afterwards and all of the fans were able to meet and get autographs from all of the players. LA Vale team members included Dean Jacobs, Matt Hoffman, Richard Jenik, Seth Modersohn, Santiago Cabrera, Robbie Williams, and Oliver Trevena. The Vale will head back to Los Angeles and the Menace will look to face the Latino Select on May 5th at Waukee Stadium. April 26, 200718 yr Author RF4L's report, originally posted on the backup site. :dance: Hi all, I'm back just got back in here :D Well what can I say, it was the most magical day of my life really. Extremely surreal, amazing, unbelievable ... simply perfect :thumbsup: Rob looked great as you can see from the photos and yes he touched my arm, actually he was rubbing and stroking my arm :wub: a girl standing next to me asked him if she can take a picture of his LOVE tattoo so he made the fist and put it on the railing right next to me and I said it was beautiful because it really is, in person it looks so good on his knuckles. He looked at me and said thanks, then I extended my arm and said Rob look kinda jokingly, he looked at my tattoo on my arm - the R but with my dad's name entertwined - looked at me, looked at my arm and his mouth literally dropped open. He went wow and some other words or amazement which I can't remember now lol and grabbed my arm with one hand and nearly put his whole face in my arm, he was twisting and looking at it from all different angles, then started rubbing his fingers over it :o asked me what the letters were to which I said it was my dad's name and he looked at me and said that's beautiful. Asked me if it hurt, I said yeah like hell and then he asked me when I had it done - why he asked me that I will never know ;) I asked him if he was getting any more and he said yes that he wanted to but they hurt more the older you get lol and then said he needs to invent some kind of anesthetic :lol: I admit I didn't watch the game at all but just focused on the captain, he was very entertaining :wub: and relaxed and laid back. He looked like he was genuinely enjoying himself and liked us being there. He led us in LA Vale chants stomping our feet lol, joked around with us. My friend and I, at one point yelled out shake your rudebox and he turns around to us smiles and did a popping breakdancing move B) I blew him a kiss and he blew one back to me :wub: There are so many little special moments that I keep remembering, I just can't even put into words how incredible that day was. The second the game finished everyone ran out to the field and he was literally swarmed and sorrounded, I was right next to him as he was walking towards the bench and he looked a bit taken a back, so he asked for us to just give him some room, he got up on the bench and signed every last person's autograph, chatted, joked around. I asked him about the swing which Scotty already posted, he said there will be a gig but nothing worked out yet and that Vegas would be too predictable, he said that with a certain look in his eyes a bit of a grin. I don't know how to take that really, he didn't rule it out completely ;) He stayed for nearly 2 hours and when he was leaving he sounded apologetic that he had to go. He looked like he really appreciated us being there and as I recall earlier in the day thanked us all for coming and asked where we all hailed from. It was so lovely to see him so laid back and relaxed and having fun. I think him not being able to play took some pressure off him and he was just loving us being there, he came over to us several times just to chat. It was absolutely incredible, like an out of body experience. Words really cannot describe it. I'm still in a daze and a haze over the whole thing. Very special. Doubt something like this will ever happen again. I would have been able to chat with him and everything...damn damn damn!!! :o :o It would have taken me only two days of driving to get there!! :( Next thing he does in the states im going....come hell or high water!!!
