OMAHA GIG TONIGHT IS OFF!

Placebo’s show in Omaha tonight, Tuesday 17th April, has been postponed. Brian Molko has been fighting flu symptoms for the last few days and unfortunately, it caught up with him yesterday on the band’s day off. Brian has seen a doctor who has advised immediate rest and no show! He is seeing the doctor again tomorrow (Wednesday) and hopes to be able to perform on stage in Denver. Please check this site for information on this.

The band want to apologise to all the fans who have bought tickets for the show - “We are so sorry - It’s incredibly disappointing and frustrating for us and we hate letting our fans down. We will do our best to try and re-schedule the show as soon as possibleâ€.

Placebo have only ever cancelled a small handful of shows in their entire 11 year career. Any further info will be posted here first. All tickets for the Omaha show will be valid for the rescheduled show or refundable at point of purchase.

Motionbox video a huge success!

Placebo would like to say a huge thanks to everyone who took the time and effort to create video's for 'Running Up That Hill' and enter them to the Motionbox site. The entry dates which ran from March 30th - April 17th, drew a frenzy of activity from fans world-wide, as over 1,000 people formed a group on Motionbox and quickly posted over 1,000 videos. Within the first three days of the promotion, the song was downloaded 5,000 times.

The next phase will be the world premiere of the video, airing on May 16th on MySpace and Motionbox.

The video, along with all of the original fan video submitted, will also be available on Motionbox.

The expections were high, obviously.

The sound wasn't perfect, but it was much better than last year's and there was much more public. But Brian wasn't being as sweet as he had been last year. Anyway, we were loving it.

They started playing Bitter End. The public goes wild, Stef is amazing, the music ends and... Brian trows the guitar at the helper and starts walking away. She runs after him and he makes a brisk gesture, saying no more and... pulls a prima-donna and LEAVES.

The others look at him, then at each other and what could they do without Brian?

Everybody was furious, there were people crying and we had to wait forever for Prodigy (who, thankfully, were BLOODY AMAZING).

Nice, Molko, really nice. The portuguese public loves you. Not.

At least I got to touch Stef. Woot!
