April 27, 200718 yr He is immensely gifted, talented and one of the very few genuine musical geniuses this country ever produced.... Pretentious..? Of course, those with real talent often are, Moz has every right to be pretentious as far as I'm concerned... He backs up his pretentiousness with brilliant tunes, end of story.... Pretentiousness is only a problem when you don't have the necessary skill to back it up (hello Chris Martin, I'm talking to you....). A pillock..? Well, he has been guilty of this with the whole "flirtation" with the Union Jack and some dodgy song lyrics like "National Front Disco" and "Bengali In Platforms". None of which he ever adequately explained, despite being challenged by NME and Melody Maker to defend himself on numerous occasions.... His silence on the issue was.....worrying tbh....
