Posted April 27, 200718 yr I'm seeing some points from Ireland (6-8) as they have similar humour to us... Malta, Cyprus, Poland always seem to give us a point or 2 and the Danish love a bit of cheese (Aqua, Infernal, Little Trees, The Cartoons, Whigfield etc...) so I forsee about 4-6 points from the Danes... That should leave us with about 20 Points  Lets just hope that the performance encourage the rest of Europe to VOTE SCOOCH!!!
April 27, 200718 yr We be lucky to get 20 points to be honest, we all know who to blame the british voters, they put it in the competition, the public has no taste.
April 27, 200718 yr Author The British public love an underdog and love a joke...I can't believe I didn't put any money on Scooch to win MYMU when they were at 12/1... As long as a joke/funny act is one of the final 6 in MYMU, the British public will keep sending them through...
April 27, 200718 yr We be lucky to get 20 points to be honest, we all know who to blame the british voters, they put it in the competition, the public has no taste. Correctamundo.... Pretty much hitting the nail on the head.. Actually, I blame Jason fukkin' Barrowman more than anyone for his blatant Pro-Scooch bias.... <_< Mind you, not that any other entry was really such hot sh!t either, but, Scooch was pretty much the bottom of a very dodgy barrel.....
April 27, 200718 yr Author MYMU is always a dodgy barrel...There are never more than 1 or 2 good songs...I honestly don't know who selects them but they need shooting And whoever hired John Barrowman and Mel whatserface to be the panel was sadly deluded...
April 27, 200718 yr MYMU is always a dodgy barrel...There are never more than 1 or 2 good songs...I honestly don't know who selects them but they need shooting Correct... As I've always said, Morrissey put his name up, but for whatever fukked-up, bullsh!t reason, the Beeb knocked him back... Arseholes.... <_<
April 27, 200718 yr Author Correct... As I've always said, Morrissey put his name up, but for whatever fukked-up, bullsh!t reason, the Beeb knocked him back... Arseholes.... <_< An internal selection is what is needed next year (assuming Scooch flop which I hope they don't)...it wouldn't be fair to put Morrissey up with novelty acts like Scooch and Daz Sampson as they would still win...

Well, I sinerely DO hope Scooch take a huge dump of Jemini proportions, then it might just wake up these idiot suits at the Beeb to the fact that things just aint working out and maybe we should be approaching the likes of Moz, Jarvis, Goldfrapp, Massive Attack, Neil Hannon, etc because they are amongst our best British recording artistes.. Other countries pick examples of their best, we pick examples of our worst, summut wrong there methinks....

If any of those entered the contest it would hugely dent their popularity...how many of our Eurovision acts have had lasting success in the last 15 years...None...it is a career killer in the UK
April 27, 200718 yr If any of those entered the contest it would hugely dent their popularity...how many of our Eurovision acts have had lasting success in the last 15 years...None...it is a career killer in the UK Though to be fair, not many have had much of a career going anyway!
April 28, 200718 yr If any of those entered the contest it would hugely dent their popularity...how many of our Eurovision acts have had lasting success in the last 15 years...None...it is a career killer in the UK Somehow I seriously doubt Morrissey fans would stop buying his albums simply because he entered Eurovision, we didn't stop buying his records during the whole misguided "flirtation" with National Front iconography and the Union Jack, so, a Eurovision appearance aint gonna kill his career is it....? Ditto for Massive Attack, Jarvis, Goldfrapp.... These acts all have firm, loyal fanbases and have all been around for a good few years now, they are established.... as opposed to being manufactured....

It would be a bit of a low point in their careers if they did come below the top 10 though wouldn't it? They'd get heavily mocked in the media
April 28, 200718 yr Goldfrapp would go down incredibly well at Eurovision. We'd be onto a real winner if we sent them. :D
April 29, 200718 yr It would be a bit of a low point in their careers if they did come below the top 10 though wouldn't it? They'd get heavily mocked in the media The Media?? Fukk em, I wipe my arse with the likes of NME and The Scum, I wrap my fish and chips in their bullsh!t and lies... <_< The real fans dont give a monkey's what the fukkin' meeeeedjaaaaaaahhhhhh thinks....
April 29, 200718 yr We will never win anyway. P-O-L-I-T-I-C-A-L V-O-T-I-N-G did I just hear myself Cry! Eurovision is such a shameful show nowadays......
April 29, 200718 yr We need to send an artist that who isn't just credible in the uk but also who is liked in europe... and sings the type of music which is big throughout europe, and that isn't indie, like he uk.. i hate robbie williams with a passion but if we sent him, we would win.. or anastacia infact but i like her
April 29, 200718 yr Author Lucie Silvas would be good. Flagging career, fairly popular on the continent. Ooh you're right...12 points from The Netherlands to...the UK
