Well Its nearly time as we all know, for us to sit down & gear up for whats bound to be another night of awful songs, crazy outfits & hilarious People. Im just going to say get ready for the P-O-L-I-T-I-C-A-L Voting. Its going to be really boring again because you watch the show & think we have a chance then outcomes the voting.... By the end of the night your left disgusted with the BBC!

Im going to watch again as usual, but lets not Blame Scooch if they dont get any points its just the Countries voting for neighbouring countries.....Always the same stuff. Plus who cares if Scooch get no points right? Eurovision is truly pointless, but only a great night of television. We all know that the U.K produces great Musicians & we dont need Eurovision to show that.

Bring On Eurovision & Ill try not to get to angry when We dont win for another year :(

Political voting isn't that major... the winner always gets points from nearly every country anyway, it's just countries that enter average songs that get pushed down by neighbouring voting.

OK, NOT a night of awful songs, I can only think of about 2/3 awful songs guaranteed in the final, the rest are quite good.

Political voting is nowhere as much of an influence as you think it is, it only really affects the 11-20 area, most of the time it won't matter seeing as only 1-10 qualify next year automatically and we qualify regardless, it would help IMMENSELY more if the UK didn't treat it as such a joke and voted seriously when it came to choosing acts to represent us.

And let's remember here - if you're going to vote for a song, you would vote for one you liked, not just vote for your neighbour, it's PEOPLE voting here, not politicians, I'm not saying that there is NO neighbourly voting, but that the media have blown it all COMPLETELY out of proportion, it's nowhere near as bad as most people would think. I see it this way - countries in close proximity are likely to have similar cultures, right? Well therefore it would go without saying that they're likely to like similar music, hence bloc voting...

I could see why Scooch would get no votes - on first listen it leaves most people cold, it really isn't the sort of song to send to Eurovision where there is only one listen given, along with Daz et al.

Eurovision is not truly pointless, seeing as this place is frequented by fans of it I think this was hardly the place to post such a thing -_-

And you seem to take victory for granted from that last message  There are three big reasons why it will be hard for us to ever win again:

1) We no longer have an advantage along with Ireland and Malta in being allowed to sing English, the current lingua franca.

2) The increased amount of countries increases the competition and the likelihood of them producing a good song increases along with it ^_^

3) The British no longer take it seriously and send jokes like Scooch ahead of sensible choices like Cyndi which actually stood a chance.

Why not - it's absolute garbage.
