The third and final album by the gorgeous and much-missed Aaliyah. Are you a massive fan? Got a favourite track? Love the artwork?

I think the artwork is very slick and its brilliant holding such a smart-looking booklet-style cd case. My favourite tracks are probably the singles Rock The Boat, More Than A Woman, and I Care 4 U, and the album track U Got Nerve. Overall a very strong album! Aaliyah's voice is very sensual and shes just so talented

ps.please dont post if youre only going to say R.I.P. Aaliyah or something - this is for talking about the 'Aaliyah' album! ;)

Love her. I prefer her more recent stuff actually. My favs:

1. I Care 4 U

2. We Need A Resolution

3. Are You That Somebody

4. One In A Million

5. Miss You

6. More Than A Woman

7. Try Again

8. Rock The Boat

More Than A Woman was a Timbaland produced work of genius.

I was not that keen on Rock The Boat, although I Care 4 U was very good.

I was just listening to this album today actually! Easily her best album.

My fave has to be 'We Need A Resolution'. I also love 'Try Again', 'Never No More' and 'Rock The Boat'.

it's a brilliant, solid, consistent r&b album. i love it.

"we need a resolution" is so fresh, even to this day.

I actually don't think much of the 'Aaliyah' album as a whole but it does have some good tracks such as 'Try Again', 'More Than A Woman' & 'Rock The Boat'

On the whole, I prefer her older material such as 'The Thing I Like', 'I Care 4 U' & 'Back & Forth'. They will always remain classics to me

"i care 4 u" is about 10 years old. aaliyah said she wanted to put it on her "one in a million" album but because it was over the deadline, they never got the chance to so she re-recorded the song and included it on "aaliyah" ;)

still sounds fresh!

:o Oh my! Youre right, it does - everything she has done sounds kind of futuristic and modern; more than a woman is a classic thatll never stop being fresh.

i wonder what her sound would be like today. her sound was definetley ahead of its time.

check out some of her old stuff, jake. it's classic!

I have every single one of her albums and I absolutely ADORE her.

I won't get all morbid and talk about how she died and how much of a shame it was because we all know the story. However, I think she was an amazing talent and she was just getting the success she deserved with the "Aaliyah" album and then it was cut short. Absolutely amazing person and artist.

^^ jark, there's that tribute they did at JT's concert for Aaliyah

Aww @ that comment 'it felt good to know that people still remember her'. Timbo seems like such a great guy, he was really affected by her death as well :(
i don't think people will ever forget her (in the r&b music industry at least). she was brilliant.

classic aaliyah....

"are you that somebody"
