I'm thinking of trying to get tickets but not decided yet... plus Sunday has more good acts than Saturday I think. Scissors are definitly the stars of the show this year though, I'm well chuffed that they're headlining! :yahoo:

Apparently if you have interactive TV, you'll be able to press the red button and watch the whole set too.

Scissor Sisters predict a riot

Scissor Sisters star Ana Matronic has urged fans watching their Big Weekend performance to "start a riot."

The New York-based star, whose band is headlining the Main Stage on Saturday, said: "We're very excited to be up in Lancashire very soon.

"We're the last band on so hopefully they'll be just off their faces and ready to start a riot. Everybody loves a rave over here."

She said the band will be pulling out all the stops for their headline performance, tipped to be one of the weekend's most memorable moments.

She said: "We just want it to feel like a party at your parents' house while they're out of town. Hopefully we'll try and create that environment. We love a good light show so we've got some pretty wicked lights going on. And then just lots and lots of energy. We really try to involve the crowd in the show and really get people riled up.

"Nowhere that I've been in the world is more obsessed with music than Britain. More than football, dare I say, even more than lager!

"Music is the national pastime of Britain. It's a part of people's identity here. But I think at the heart of it is just that people really like our music.

"We're experimentational and we definitely have a lot of bells and whistles when it comes to our live show.

"We try to engage the audience as much as possible and I think it's that hand reaching out from the stage that they really relate to."

And she believes the idea of the One Big Weekend – to take the biggest bands to a place which doesn't always get to see such big acts – helps generate a unique excitement.

She said: "I think its really exciting. I lived in a city, Portland, Oregon, and sometimes we would get big acts but a lot of times they would just bypass us and play Seattle and San Francisco.

"That's three hours away from me. So I definitely know what it's like to

want to see someone that inspires you and you can't because of geography."

On the day, she has a whole list of bands she wants to see including the Gossip, Kasabian, Razorlight, Klaxons and CSS. She laughed: "Pretty much everybody! It's a great line-up so I'm really looking forward to it.

"We're shooting to get there pretty early. We do have a few interviews to do but hopefully we wont be chained to a seat somewhere and we can actually run around."
