As far as I'm concerned Kate Moss represents everything that is wrong with British society in 2007 - she acts in a totally morally degenerate way that would land an ordinary person in prison, and then she gets rewarded for her bad behaviour... And do the Tabloid Press who constantly bemoan the fact that other, less famous criminals seem to profit from their crimes say anything negative about "Cocaine Kate"..? Hell NO!!! They're totally on board with her 'resurgence' in fame, and barely a sentence in criticism is raised in the popular press.. Her and her equally degenerate boyfriend Pete Doherty are somehow held up as something 'cool' and to 'emulate'...... <_< I just couldn't help laughing earlier this week when headlines were screeching out in horror "Anarchists Target Kate Moss"... Well, fukkin' GOOD if you ask me.... At least someone is standing up and saying "ENOUGH!!! The worship of this drug-addled fashion whore is getting totally out of hand"... And she wears fur to boot.... <_< If you ask me, the Anarchists didn't go far enough..... And, well, just what the fukk is she actually famous FOR anyway....?? Wearing clothes...?? May 2, 200718 yr I completely agree ... she is NOT an icon. She isn't famous, she's infamous, and anyone who becomes famous from scandal and sensation, in my opinion, doesn't deserve the time of day. The stories written about how amazing she is aren't worth the paper they're printed on. And her sense of style is way off. She lives in skinny jeans (hardly revolutionary) and people credit her with "putting together amazing outfits". A lot of people I know can put together an outfit, and most of them don't come out the other end looking like they've rolled out of a skip. I won't mention Pete :lol: The designer tag she's acquired really bugs me ... all she's done is help make a topshop range based on her wardrobe ... i.e. OTHER DESIGNERS WORK!!

I think her method of 'designing' is likely to be similar to Naomi Campbell's method of "writing a book".....

Some people think "well if you're stupid enough to make yourself sick to look like Kate Moss then that's you're problem, not Kate's" but it's really not that simple ... she, and many others, have put themselves up on a pedestal and said "look at me, i look great, be like me".
May 4, 200718 yr I'm not attacking her because she's thin :lol: I'm attacking her for sending out the message that it's important (necessary?) to be thin ... if you look like Kate you can behave how you want and still be offered millions of pounds to advertise for Rimmel. I guess the same could be said for most models, and all the same Kate doesn't MAKE them offer such ridiculous amounts of money, but it's hardly like she turns it down, or sets a good example when she has been so fortunate.

Voluptuous, fuller figures (you know, with hips, ass, t*ts, models like Betty Page, Jane Russell, Marilyn Monroe....) which actually represented what the average woman on the street was actually like in terms of a figure.... Isn't the average dress size for a woman in the UK a size 14...??? Why aren't models the size that the average woman is....? Look at the picture of actress Salma Hayek in the gallery... Now SHE is a real woman..... Skinny supermodels promote a lifestyle of drug abuse and anorexia/bulimia....
