This week sees the introduction of a brand new chart banner :yahoo: And another new feature, the Bubbling Under Hot 5! These are the 5 songs most likely to break onto the Hot 20 next week. A song can stick around on the BUH5 for up to 5 weeks before climbing to the Hot 20, but once in the Hot 20 cannot move back down to the Bubbling Under Hot 5!

My Chart Comments

 

In a week full of new entries thanks to the addition of the new Bubbling Under Top 5!, acts such as Fall Out Boy and Jennifer Lopez make their first appearance on the chart, with the brilliant songs that are Thnks Fr Th Mmrs and Que Hiciste. Round up the BUH5 are Monica (expect her to stick around for a while as Hell No gains popularity), Speedway (who split in 2005 but whose great single Cant Turn Back remains as catchy as ever) and Kelly Clarkson (new single Never Again features, strictly in the form of the Dave Aude Remix).

 

On the Hot 20, Hilary Duff climbs four places to number 1 with her amazing second single Stranger. Continuing the electropop trend, Duff's Happy, from latest album Dignity, is just outside the top 5, whilst at number 5 is a new entry from the incredible Jessica Folcker, a swedish megastar, whose latest effort Snowflakes threatens to never leave my head. Other songs of note are Sonique's Why, which climbs into the top 10, Booty Luv's Shine which reaches a new peak of number 2 (a future number one?) and Carolyna, the second single from Melanie C's This Time album, which also climbs to a new peak inside the top 10. Expect Jessica Folcker's Crash Like A Wrecking Ball to be a climber soon as well, whilst Take Control, the infectious new tune from R&B queen Amerie, should debut high next week. ^_^
