The Greatest Indie Anthems Ever - countdown continues

We reveal Numbers 50-31 of your ultimate songs

This week will NME and Xfm announce the 50 Greatest Indie Anthems Ever - as voted for by you.

 

We've counted up all the songs you suggested and now on NME.COM we're getting ready to reveal who has made the cut, and which song you have proclaimed the Number One indie anthem ever.

 

The full list, plus exclusive interviews with the acts who've made it will feature in this week's issue of NME which hits UK newsstands from May 2.

 

On NME.COM we're also counting down to Number One throughout this week, and today (May 1) we bring you Numbers 50-31, with the likes of Pixies, The Killers and My Bloody Valentine all featuring.

 

So the Greatest Indie Anthems Ever Numbers 50-31 are:

although i want to see the full list first before making up my mind if i agree or not, no.33 is not bad at all :D

 

do you guys think that they might appear in the chart again? cos imo ATTTID is more of an 'anthem' than Mr Brightside..

I agree, but maybe they base their list on popularity? I think "Somebody Told Me" will be quite high in this list.

never mind oasis, what about the libertines?! 4 songs in the list, 3 of which in the top 20 :blink:

That list is quite c**p, in my opinion. The Libertines twice into the Top 10?? WTF?!?!?! Why there's no The Clash?? And Joy Division is way too low... I'm disappointed. I was expecting "Somebody Told Me" or "All These Things That I've Done" to chart there.
